Sony Xperia XZ2 and XZ2 Compact hands-on review

Unlike many of its big-brand competitors, Sony didn't shy away from major announcements at MWC 2018. In fact, it took the wrappers of a shiny new pair of flagships, that boldly marry new design concepts with incremental hardware updates.

FINALLY
* a phone-sized device (max 65 wide), with a FHD display (*)
* flagship worthy chipset and other.
* microsd-card

....But no 3.5mm jack!!

If I did not require a physical keyboard, I would be in line for ordering this.
(The least bad option available with keyboard is a Mod and the Moto Z series)

          This design reminds me of Xperia Neo which I wasn't particularly fond of. I'm not saying they're ugly but they're not aye magnet either. As many people said - underwhelming.

              12.1 mm on xz2c what a joke...

                I am glad they released Xperia XZ2. I personally really don't like it, BUT on the other had Xperia XZ1 is cheaper!
                So thank you Sony, you can keep your subpar Xperia XZ2, I, on the other hand, might buy cheaper, better Xperia XZ1 for my wife.

                        I waited impatiently for this series and was very disappointed.
                        I will go to Galaxy.

                            The XZ1 Compact was starting to look large, because of the bad display to body ratio...
                            Now they improved on that, but unfortunately the phone also grew on all meassurements... This will not look compact either.
                            At least it got a much needed bump in screen resolution...
                            Not impressed.

                                But instead of price, on no.3 you could set it's battery life since Sony is known for great optimisation....
                                And there is no.4 and that is, as owner of one of those, you will be unique....Not as your brother, mother, wife, neighbours, friends....you will have different device

                                    welp, the way the back reflect light make it seem more bulge than it actually is(but the camera placement is nice thing to have cause no more covering it while taking picture or recording), the front is ok and i like the way the speaker is arranged, lack of jack is major dissapointment (well, i guess need to start invest with dedicated mp3 player)

                                      For one sony device, it looks quite nice....but this shiny colours are just terrible.
                                      I am sure that it is part of great devices, but knowing Sony's pricing policy, I don't think I will be bother with this one any more after reading this few articles from it's presentation.
                                      They need to know that they are just not in same league as Samsung and Apple, and set up prices like that to get some new buyers....now they are just fighting to keep some of their old fans not to switch sides....

                                        it's not flat out 11.1mm thick. You can't just simply put a 5000mAh battery into a curved body like this (and not exploding like the Note 7).
