Also, there are 2 version for indonesian market, and one of them doesn't have hardware gyro, only emulated one. Price diff vs rn5 about 15 bucks. Unlocking bootloader void waranties. It has much better avaibility tho While rn5 will never on stock probably until next 3 months. (i have nokia phone, laptop asus, and xiaomi powerbank atm)

I too use Xiaomi phone, the MIUI is fantastics but the updates always come with bugs and the bugs ruins the potential of the Xiaomi phone. This Zenfone offer near stock Android experiences at the affordable price. Yes this phone came in half baked before but never heard any bugs in the updated like MIUI updated. What I know updated for this phone perfected the phone. I will buy this phone and if feels stock android is boring then I will install android launchers. There are a lot of launchers in Play Store even MIUI launcher also availables. If the launchers troublesome it can be uninstall easily not like skin UI it will permenantly stay on the phone.

Looking forward to a full battery report on this compared to a Lenovo p2 and a mi max 2 if it can beat them it will be interesting.

The 40% price difference (36 to be precise) is between 32 GB of Asus and 64 GB of rn5
64 GB Versions are 15% expensive

A reminder for all. This phone is 40% cheaper than Redmi Note 5 Pro. Stop nitpicking on the camera, charging time and lack of usb c. That ALMOST stock android is a bonus for smooth performance. Both this zenfone and xiaomi dont have nfc anyway. At least this zenfone offer dedicated dual sim slot.

Are you seriously taking a jab at HTC with this? Perhaps you could still their tag for the 5z, but this is no Zenfone flagship and certainly not competitive with the next-generation of U (or whatever letter they decide to try).

You never use MIUI, so stop your stupid opinion,
For me MIUI is advantage, still use it even when my phone rooted, i dont want to use custom rom near stock android, its boring.
So let me tell you this phone has too many update after launch, too many bugs, and worst camera quality, you can even see the difference sensor size on redmi note 5 and m1 pro.
I prefer better camera than slightly cheaper with unfinished product.

The only gripe is the micro-USB. Otherwise, it's a superb phone. Would like to gift it to my mommy for her ZF2's replacement.

Can't life without adaway & magisk module once u taste it. well, there still unofficial method if I must
