Nick, 02 Jun 2018What about Android updates and smooth UI? Well I don't thin... moreOS is the matter of choice, what do you prefer..more and more people want stock Android, that's fine..I don't.I wan't to to play with all the options OS can provide. Not be limited by them,I guess it's the core of Android, limitless options, not limited ones..I changed everything on my MUI 9( currently)..themes,wallpapers,icon packs, even tried few different launchers..and guess what,Mi6 is still super fast/smooth as the day I bought it..Try to do that with Sams/LG and you know what will happen..In a month Mi8 will be (well) under $500,which I think it's more than a fair deal..

Well I don't think MI have better phones compared to OnePlus. I bought Mi Mix 2 after my OnePlus 3T got broken and I regret should have waited few more days for OnePlus 6 but then bought OnePlus 6 for my wife and using it right away ;) OnePlus has faster OTA updates, better and easy UI, better optimisation of apps and much better customised RAM compared to MI phones and yeah shall I mention the dash charger which is of immense importance? Very much... Moreover OnePlus 6 has a very good camera though I agree Mi8 might have a better camera but I really can't put other things down just for a better camera that too already having a decent camera with my OnePlus 6. I think you might have got it why people prefer OnePlus over MI phones. Rest is everyone's personal choice.

There was a time when other brands used to mock samsung as it was the king of smartphones and never threw back the mocking bird on other brands. That was the time when king had to say nothing but to rule on others but today the same is mocking another competitor by saying "why settle just for speed". Today the king has changed as it is afraid of its competitor. Way to go OnePlus. #oneplus6 #the speed you need.

..."the best Android phone you can buy in this price range..."well.2-3 yrs ago I would agree with ya,GSMA,but today..Oneplus is more or less the same device, comparing to 3/3t,nothing special about it in any way,but today it costs over $600!!.3/3t were under 400...I`m pretty sure you might find a great discount on today`s top dogs, now close to $600..I believe it`s still a great phone but since it`s all but cheap and affordable and it looks painfully generic how can you tell it`s not Oppo,Vivo or whatever other in-house brand...I respect small(er) companies, but for this $$$,I`d look for something at least a bit special....

Currently using the Oneplus 6 for last couple days.

Great battery life, very fast and fluid . Camera is not flagship though, my Pixel first gen is better. For the price if you're not into a heavy photogtaphy and social media and want a dual sim high performance phone it is worth the money.

You can deny it, find excuses, whatever, fact is that everyone is coming up with their version of the notch, just because Apple did it. If there was no iPhone X with a notch, there wouldn't be all these lookalike Androids with notch, regardless of was Apple the first or not.
And, by the way, why would someone buy a phone with a notch, and then turn it off?

unfortunately i have bought my smartphone two months ago. and it is too late too chage it but i think the technology develope every day and it is neede to have patience until something new comes into maket at the moment s9 and on 6 are the best but who knows what will happens. they try to put the edges a side and make the screen bigger so we should wait and see what is next. it is realy great phone but at the moment it is better to wait and watch

If you can afford to wait, hold on, but in 6 months time, rumors will continue on the next offering from Oneplus & Google etc..
I've jumped on the Oneplus 6 as my P9 battery has become awful, I was considering P20 Pro, Mi Mix 2s and the Pixel 2, chosen the Oneplus 6 based on value for money and knowing Android P will be on the system.
