I had seen the complete launch Video...!!!!
Was dreaming of purchasing the Samsung Galaxy Note 9...
But in the entire Launch I did not feel that there is something new in the Note 9, apart from the Upgraded "S-Pen"..
Better I would suggest if someone really wants a Note series.. Then go with "NOTE-8 ".. value is getting lower as well as it has nearby same feature of Note 9..

Lol fail phone.
-No dolby vision
-Only quick charge 2.0 (super slow charging)
-Gorilla Glass 6
-No OIS in front camera
-No infrared blaster (only their puny Iris scanner and face recognition thru camera)
-Only 8mp front camera (what is samsung even thinking with this super low MP count)
-very high pricetag for few features.
Damn samsung. what are these guys smoking. People shall know how this phone lacks these features.

If using next SD 855 with Android P,I will buy one.I don't think this note will be hot selling.Because no big reason to replace our flagship smartphone now.

The thought that this bright, new device will be ignored in a couple of years and never to receive any update, it’s a no brainer to throw 1000 good dollars to lazy, arrogant, Samsung. I write this on my iPhone 5s running iOS 12 beta and I just feel well treated and respected by Apple that my 5 years old phone is still getting support.

For s7 edge and s8+ users might be interested to upgrade to note9 but s9+ and note8 will think twice or more to buy note9 just for a few minor changes from note8. I concider to buy note8 because it's price getting lower now..

R156, 09 Aug 2018Meizu 16 Plus is beast for that price, but this Note9 is no... moreMeizu is amazing of course, but I believe the power of Samsung phones come from their interconnectivity with other Samsung branded stuffs. The 2K Display looks amazing with Samsung Gear VR, and if you connect it with other Samsung appliances, you can use your Samsung phone to control everything in your home - Watching Samsung TV connected to Samsung Notebook while sitting under Samsung Air Conditioner while you eat stuff from Samsung Refrigerator, wearing clothes from Samsung Washing Machine and living in a Samsung Apartment (Samsung has a construction company, as well), controlling all of those with your fingertips. No other company in the world can do this.

I disagree with the post calling the Samsung experience a custom ROM, calling it OEM ROM or skin would probably be more accurate as custom usually refers to unofficial builds.
As for the device, solid as the note 8, and mosy of its users should be happy with it for the next 2-3 years should they keep it.
My only concern is that the pen now needs bluetooth to act as a remote and you apparently can't switch this feature off to use it as a normal pen (or you can by switching Bluetooth off, but is it possible with the pen out?), which may degrade the battery life a bit. But the review should address this.

Okay, I'll agree, it's a monster of a phone in terms of specs for the current generation and as small tablets go, it is very pretty but a few things do bug me:
1. At 201 grams, it really feels like the device has now gone beyond something that is easily pocketable, which surely a phone needs to be.
2. 512gb of storage. It feels like you're probably paying a lot for that amount of storage when the device also features an SD card slot allowing you to use a large card that would probably cost less and be more flexible. I can't see even mainstream business users needing almost 1TB of storage on a phone.
3. The price. £1,100 is a lot of money, even for a top spec model, and I just can't see how you'd reclaim that value as a personal purchase. As a business tool perhaps, but this device is in no way marketed as a tool for business, focussing far more on style and form over function. As a personal user, you'd likely need to keep this device for 4-5 yes before upgrading for it to make sense in terms of price.
