Xiaomi Mi Max 3 review

25 August 2018
Remember when people made fun of the original Samsung Galaxy Note and its "humungous" 5.3-inch display? Oh, how the times have changed. Still, have we really come to a point where a 6.9 inch diagonal behemoth is able to avoid the "tablet" category and stretch the already confusing phablet category even further?

MercyMercy, 14 Dec 2018Is this much better than HONOR 8x? TIA for the response Depends on what your priority in a phone is. The screen is bigger, has no notch so fullscreen is more enjoyable. The battery life i better as well. Camera wise they are very close. In low light the Xiaomi presents a bit more details, but at the cost of a bit more noise.

The Honor offers NFC and the Xiaomi does not, if that is of importance to you.

The Xiaomi offers IR blaster, FM Radio, a more recent bluetooth 5.0 and USB C port, the Honor 8x does not

Does it have that feature where you can use 2 apps at the same time ( split screen ) ? Which is better for gaming, Redmi 5plus or Mi Max 3? thanks kindly.

I have a travelling job, don't know how practical these will be though. This is why I'm looking for a phone with OIS. My G4's (an early 2015 phone) cam is awesome in low light, and thanks probably goes to it's 3-axis OIS. I take the pics just in the default auto mode.

I'm norwegian so my knowledge of good deals in India is very limited. Also, I didn't know you though about OIS mostly for stills, I just assumed video.

Anyways, on flipkart I found a stabilizer very similar to mine, called yantralay Handheld Steadicam Video Stabilizer For DSLR Cameras With Mobile Attachment Tripod. Price 2099 Rupee

For getting as stable photos as possible, especially in low light and slower shutter speed I recommend using remote trigger. You can either use headphone cables with volume keys or a bluetooth remote.

On amazon's India page I found Skudgear Premium Bluetooth Selfie Remote Shutter and Camera Shutter Release -for iPhone & Android. Price 649 Rupee

Gimbal can give a bit too stable shot (clinical), so I mostly use stabilizer/steadycam and they are very affordable - from around $25.

Is there any reason why the Mi Max 3 is STILL not available officially in India? It's been some time now since it was officially launched.

Heck, the Poco F1 phone was launched much later and one round of flash sale is already over.
