I've been using this phone for 2 years now, unfortunately the screen has problems now, and no one is willing fix it!! And the original distributor is no longer supporting it. (I'm in Saudi Arabia).
I loved the device, the only disappointment is the GPS never worked, even though I had the Q9h global. Wasted a lot of time trying to make it work with no success.
Battery lasted for 2 days almost all of the time. The only time battery drained fast was after configuring Outlook push mail. And that was for testing my company's email only. Basically, using 3G services drained the battery faster than the usual.
Unfortunately many users keep everything on (bluetooth, play games, chatting, etc.) and complain that batteries run out fast!!
One good practice I tried and worked perfectly with my battery is using the task manager to kill all unnecessary applications. This was a key habit that made my battery last long.
Too bad that I have to change the device too soon, as I was planning to keep it for another year.

colin, 17 Apr 2009most of the things that u said are wrong the battery life o... more
Come on la Colin, Battery life is subjective, I had been using my trusty 9qh for almost a year, with normal calls and a little bit of SMSes and a few frame of picture taken on a vacation my battery last for 3 days with few hours to spare for the next day. But normally I charge the phone on the third night. I think a simple motto is " if you take care of your battery, it will take care of you " . Thanks

Uei, 08 Nov 2007Since the review didn't say much about the usability issues... moremost of the things that u said are wrong the battery life only darins if u have had the phone for a year its fine for a while but blackberries tend to drain after 5 hours aswell my advice is to carry a extra charged battery for the phone and then u will be fine for the day it works fine for me but i an say that i dont call on it so i cant say fully how long it would last as my only phone like most people but i have many phones i was gonna get the silver version too but decided to get a blackberry 8800

Uei, 08 Nov 2007Since the review didn't say much about the usability issues... moreso ur sayin the phone is crap basically, well i got the motorola Q i had a few problems but overall i think it out does the phones with the flaps'.@ least my flap isnt coming off where i have to pay lets say$50 for a refurbish phone when i bought the first phone brand new but then again a phone is a phone right and it didnt make itself, it was made by man was it not therefore because we are not perfect u expect the phone to be? i dont see u makin any phones & if u did,, it probably wouldnt even turn on...damn i hate when people complain about something they didnt have a hand in the making but i bet ur the type that drops ur phone right? Blame it on ur damn self not the manufacturer & LOL ON THAT 1.

"GSM Arena" has wrong review about "Motorola Q9H". "Motorola Q9H" has "Optional WiFi", built in GPS, and support 32 Gb Micro SD external memory slot

Since the review didn't say much about the usability issues. I own one and let me share some light with potential Q9H buyers. It takes some getting used to since the touch screen is not available. The phone works great out of the box. These are problems I've faced basically due to Motorola's customization on this WM6...
1) You cannot create any sms folder with this phone. I cannot understand why motorola did that.
2) You cannot reassign the keys of this phone, so customization sucks.
3) Runs quite warm especially the battery compartment
4) Battery drains out fast since it's quite fun to use
5) Cannot duplicate appointments in calendar. It just handicaps you in a lot of scheduling work.
6) Pictures taken are blurry
7) The sound is great but tends to produce sparks like noise while playing music. Not sure if it's the speaker or the phone.
