vivo V15 Pro review

High-end features in a relatively affordable package. That’s the vivo V15 Pro in a few words. Or you can say that this phone is vivo’s attempt to bring everything we love about the first vivo NEX to the masses. And thanks to the fast developing tech, we can even go ahead and say that in some aspects, the V15 Pro has outdone its more expensive sibling.

You can use better cpu, but to cut costs you can use:

6Gb ddr3 instead of 4Gb ddr4
Micro usb instead of type c
Gorilla 3 instead of 5
Battery of cheaper supplier ( after 2 years capacity lost 60%)
No NFC
Isocell cameras ( cheaper than exmor)

Many chinese brands do this.

    im thinking that this vivo company has a lot, i mean A LOT.. of stocks of micro USB port that they wont stay away from these and move to type C.

I am comparing it to LG G7, Poco F1, Galaxy A50, F11 Pro etc. LG G7 offers SD845, 6GB RAM, expandable storage, Quad DAC, better video quality, above par camera, wireless charging, IP68 rating, Gorilla Glass (V15 Pro does not have even at this price!) and okayish battery. I get it that it offers an IPS LCD screen but overall LG G7 offers everything better than all the phones mentioned above at INR28,000 (V15Pro costs same yet misses out these features). In fact LG G7 is definitely a better phone than the likes of Poco F1 (it might be INR8,000 cheap but whats the point if you can all the above flagship features by just paying little more).

              Nice screen?

              Even phone with LCD can lower delta near 2.0 and this one has almost 6.
              Must be worse than oled used by Galaxy J series.

                  Battery life should be bit higher with 3600 and 1080p, a few more hours.
                  Daylight photos are nice, but night ones are very soft.

                  But micro usb is ridiculous and sunlight of 3800 is too low for oled nowadays.

                    microUSB is a pro, not a con! Most of the accessories still sold are microusb. Changing always interfaces means only annoyances for users...they should have been left microusb

                      The way the top display corners have different radiuses than the bezels and do not align at all with the bezels...typical half-assed Chinese crap.

                          Galaxy A50 is INR 8K cheaper than v15 Pro which still misses USB Type C

                                They should have added an additional OIS camera (possibly with a slightly smaller sensor if not possible otherwise), so in extreme low-light conditions without moving objects they could switch to the OIS camera and use a longer exposure time, then the results would have been even better.

                                      I just look at the first 48 megapixel sample image and it's clearly fake. They just upscale a 12 megapixel jpg to 48 megapixel (although the sensor is capable of 48 megapixels). You can clearly see this in the 48 megapixel jpg as there are upscaled demosaicing artifacts. This would never happen when this photo was taken in a real 48 megapixel mode. It's surprising that they just upscale the 12 megapixel images, I guess it was too much effort for them to adjust the image processing. Xiaomi has done the same thing. Only the Huawei View 20 gives you real 48 megapixel photos. Hopefully the Pixel 4 will take great 48 megapixel photos, Google is currently the only smartphone company that would be able to deliver great 48 megapixel photos.
