Great alternative phone than Oneplus 6t.

In my country -
View 20 - $488
Oneplus 6t - $620

Best bang for the buck.

But why no long-term review for Mate 20 (not Pro), which is way better than both View 20 and Mate 20 Pro?

"Since the 48MP camera is binning four pixels into one, it is able to capture ample amounts of light." That's not true. The total amount of captured light doesn't change as the sensor size, the color filter and the lens don't change. But the number of pixels that need to be read out is smaller (12 million (large) pixels instead of 48 million pixels) , therefore less (random) read noise. Furthermore a large pixel captures more light than a small pixel, this reduces the impact of non-random read noise in extreme low-light conditions.

"The zoomed pictures still look okay but noticeably inferior in details since there's no pixel binning." This has nothing to do with pixel binning. Gsmarena, don't confuse pixel binning with downsampling. Pixel binning makes a 48 megapixel sensor behave like a 12 megapixel one. But pixel binning gives you no advantage over a normal 12 megapixel sensor. Possible reasons why the 48 megapixel images are not extremely sharp are the lens, the noise reduction and the Quad Bayer sensor. Diffraction isn't the reason here because Apple's 52mm camera produces sharper results.

I thought this was an April fool's joke
