"The Galaxy Fold is the first Samsung flagship to NOT include a 3.5mm audio port."
"Joining" (Cr)Apple's "COURAGE" cu*t, eh?? That won't sit well with us neutral users who NEEDS & WANTS 3.5mm jack as a CHOICE, CONVENIENCE & STANDARD at "ridiculous" prices. The only reason I could guess is MORE PROFIT$$ in DJ K*h's pockets & PLANNED OBSOLESCENCE.
Unfortunately, the maker isn't providing a USB-C to 3.5mm audio adapter in the retail package, which means that we were unable to perform our audio quality test."
Reason: "Cutting" cost for MORE PROFIT$$ to "feed" DJ K*h. Just PLANNED OBSOLESCENCE by Samsung.
"We could have used an adapter from a Huawei or Xiaomi phone, but since those adapters contain a built-in DAC, the output would be representative of the adapter rather than the new Galaxy Fold so we only do audio output testing if an adapter is provided by the manufacturer."
See how PROPRIETARY USB-C to 3.5mm adapters are that differs from each brand? This is why 3.5mm jack, REGARDLESS of PRICE, THICKNESS MUST be INCLUDED as STANDARD.
"Active adapters such as this one do their own processing, so if you get a different adapter, you won't get the same kind of output, and our findings wouldn't be relevant to you."
Same reason as above.
"Luckily, Samsung is bundling the wireless Galaxy Buds with the Fold, so we can't really complain as much."
Hmm, what if these wireless Galaxy Buds were to lose their battery capacity over time? Isn't that just PLANNED OBSOLESCENCE by Samsung? Should we really complain as much ...or not?
"The Fold packs the whooping 12GB of RAM and 512GB of storage. There is no microSD slot on the Fold, though."
For that "ridiculous" price, Samsung could have added microSD slot as STANDARD & CHOICE REGARDLESS of "huge" storage.
"The Mate X is equally fast, it has the trio of cameras to impress, there is a larger battery with 55W fast charging, and you can even expand its memory via an NM card."
AT LEAST Huawei bothers to INCLUDE expandable storage as STANDARD even though NM card is proprietary as of now.
Let me improve these CONS as below for our readers:

-It feels like a concept device, and it's not a phone but a tablet-phone
-It's far from water or dust proof and particles may get under the screen
-The screen crease is hard to stop noticing
-It's expensive and it's not clear whether it will ever launch
-It does not come with 3.5mm jack & microSD slot as STANDARD for the price Galaxy Fold offers.

I still can't manage how every review states its "massive foldable AMOLED screen" that is just slightly bigger than a mi max 3 or Honor 8X Max. The fold is as tall as any other phone on the market right now, just slimmed down, which is fine, and twice the thickness, which is fine too, if it wasnt wedged and therefore open to top and bottm and also a flimsy mess when unfolded. Then again the screen 'seems' bigger than it is cause of its 4:3 aspect - that is rather unuseful nowadays having 16:9 and 21:9 movies. Also it gets destroyed by a massive notch on the upper right. Consuming anything else than articles on the internet must be pain on the fold.
As for now we do have seen 4 foldable phones and I can't say I want any of these sadly. I still got hope for motorola's attempt. I would pay for a phone that's half my pixel 3 but offering the same screen unfolded. Samsung didn't impress me, and Im not even starting with the design flaws...

Maybe after this (foldable) era we finally retire the term phone? At this point the guy clearly holds a tablet (that folds), when everybody was/is using a phablet I didn't speak, despite everyone was in fact using mini tablets. I thought to myself "phablets do have a phone components in them, so maybe calling them phones makes some sense". But at this point OEMs have no pretentious, this is a full fledged tablet. I mean I'd always say " forget phones, tablets is the next big thing" and people would deride me all the while they would proceed using them (they call them phones but let's be real those 6inch+ behemoth of devices are not phones anymore, in neither size, functionality or even look; better we retire the term).

Thanks for the review. A folding phone is something that definitely interests me, although I'd be looking at revision 3 or so, and hopefully at price points that don't involve me giving up parts of my body! Maybe 3-5 years down the line? Let's hope!
