Honor 20 and 20 Pro hands-on review

21 May 2019
For the first time, Honor departs from its usual flagship releasing scheme by launching not one but two devices at once. And as per tradition in the Android world, it’s a Pro and non-Pro version. In this hands-on review, we will be looking at the both and unlike most OEMs, Honor decided to make the size of both handsets identical, with the Pro taking an edge over the vanilla Honor 20 with better under-the-hood features.

whats the use, no more updates from google

I think the Honor 20 Pro is a great alternative to P30 Pro if you don't need that periscope lens and the same "camera quality". Also, no notch and no on-screen fingerprint reader.

It sort of quad cam scam. Honor 20 supposed to be a flagship but comes without OIS on main sensor (equals no OIS at all).
      Pay $$$ for PRO version.

Gregor, 21 May 2019Now that Huawei is effectively on the US blacklist, perhaps... moreWhy? We can still use huawei phones even after the ban (with all google services included)

Now that Huawei is effectively on the US blacklist, perhaps Gsmarena can do its readers a service by adding a 'caveat emptor' tag on Huawei related articles to let the buyer beware should they be considering one.

Nicolas F, 21 May 2019It's a typo, it should be "73.97", because Honor 20 and 20 ... morethanks for the info. still to large...70mm max for my next phone.
                                  pixel 3: 145.6 x 68.2 x 7.9 mm
                                  iphone xs: 143.6 x 70.9 x 7.7 mm
                                  samsung s10e: 142.2 x 69.9 x 7.9 mm

are the only contenders right now. no curved glasse.
                                  problem with this contenders are:
                                  notch on iphone
                                  hole in s10e.
pixel 3 could had better bezels. I don't mind bezels if it will keep stereo and good sound. I don't care about front camera.
I will buy in a heart bit a pixel 4 with a little less height with the same 5.5" screen. or the same size with a little bit of more screen. NO HOLES OR NOTCHES PLEASE. if not, i can wait another year..my SD835 still is lag free.

4.5mm cut out too big? It's the smallest on the market! Samsung's and Motorola's are 6mm!

Despite the hate Huawei/Honor get and the situation they now find themselves, I'm still glad this came out now. LCD is a little bit of a let down but not a deal breaker personally.
