First of all, great and honest review GSMArena!!
Listen to the Samsung fanboys here trying to defend this abomination.
Seriously, limiting the selfie camera? When the hardware is right there? Even Apple does not do this. They omit, but what they have is utilized to its full potential. BTW, photos don't compare to Zenfone 6 i.e. Zenfone is much much better.
I am happy that Samsung is not carrying this ideology to its flagship S-Series and Note series phones.
I am also very happy that the Samsung fanboys needlessly bashing GSMArena for an honest review are few in number and rather poor, so once this device fails to hit the sales required, Samsung will definitely come up with improvements to the second iteration of this device!

I thought Samsung already learned from their past mistakes. Boy I was wrong. This phone will be a tough sell just as GSM Arena mentioned. Boo

I stopped reading the review at "no headphone jack". I already own a Pixel 2 for the last 18 months and I just can't handle the hassles of adapters (already lost one and the replacement cost a lot). Or the hassels of charging bluetooth headsets - was really annoyed when battery ran out mid-flight countless times. I hope consumers are able to send a message to manufacturers not to fix what ain't broke (and stop the greed). Asus Zenfone 6 it is for me.

No card slot and headphone jack, a complete opposite of Zenfone 6.

When you compare the images, it's definitely better than the zenfone 6, iphone xs, mi9 and even a s10. What's wrong with the review? Also i doubt whether it's a sony sensor, not isocell?

I got this phone preordered for freaking 450€ so im pumped... i dont know why is everyone just against the samsung here but i dont think its bad phone... sure, it is overpriced but it will become 450€ after month so there is no need to say that... the phone is just perfect for everyday user, no need to have 12 gb ram, 1tb slot for sd card, the best processor... its a phone, not your personal notebook... and about jack... people are so butthurt over it when its basically no problem, i was using older phone without jack and i never had problem like geeez

for the price they are charging, i would rather get an asus zenfone 6. the zenfone has a bigger battery, a flafship processor and even has a headphone jack.

Except for digital zoom.
Both you give same amount of details and DR.
When you have high MP count you have more pixels to crop.
Crop of 48MP will look better than using digital zoom for a 12MP.
I prefer to have 48MP that downsample to 12, instead of binning.

That's absolutely not true. Otherwise they could have made a 12 megapixel sensor of the same size. Pixel binning + 48 megapixels has no advantage over a 12 megapixel sensor of the same size. The main purpose of this sensor is better digital zoom, the option for 48 megapixel photos and a larger sensor size. And indeed Samsungs 48 megapixel jpg has a lot more details in the center of the image (not at the edges due to the lens).

Zenfone 6 uses Exmor.
A80 has Isocell.
Not the same.

Should've mentioned the upcoming Redmi K20 in your comparison bit. It may be of limited availability and you haven't done a review of it but it's the only other phone with the Snapdragon 730 (and a bezel less display) so a brief mention wouldn't have gone wrong.
