I wanted to like this device, I really did. Having used Samsung Galaxy s8 so far (fine except for the curved edges) I wanted to return to IOS I had left after iPhone7+.
But one look at them, and I backed off. I couldnt decide which one was worse - the deep notch with 2 horns or the large squarish patch on the back with cameras stuck inside like some fungal growth or something - yuck. No way.
Toyed with the idea of iPhone XR which was on sale for a attractive price, and then decided against it. Guess I'm spoilt for choice in android world. Adios Apple.

Dude, I was like Apple so expensive and low end spec! i have no money for apple back then. i was with android flagship samsung s2,s4,s5,s6.. every year in need to upgrade as devices was laggy and feels outdated only over a year. one time I had money to get iPhone 7 Plus, still going strong at 2019 and doesnt look outdated yet. If I dont have the money, will still happy to keep it. but I do have now for iPhone 11 and even for the pro max after saving for more than 2 years! and I think I will keep this phone for another 3 years. If you dont have money to upgrade every year.... go for iPhone Duuuddeeee!!!

No? Well, there isn't, stay in the android shop and buy the device that is more to your liking(with better design)

Coming from an Android, LCD is better than AMOLED because no PWM flickering, thus less headaches and eyestrain.

We are in a free world. We have free will too. I don't see any reason for the hate. All I see here is Android/Apple war, LED/LCD war, RAM and ROM commotion, camera comparison.... Etc. What's the need? Price?? We choose what we wanna buy. If the price is too much, we settle for something we can afford. You bought a Rolls Royce ghost and I buy a Ducatti superbike, we are all heading to the same direction. If u like the Apple phone, buy it. If u like Samsung, buy it. If u like HTC, Xiaomi, Huawei, Nokia, BlackBerry ...etc just buy it already. Who of us can produce a screen, let alone a phone. The Iphone 11 is good for what it does. Its premium. If u don't like notches like me then don't buy it. That means u won't like the Huawei notch or the pixel notch. Don't just spoil the fun for Apple users. They are there, not because they are stupid, not because they have a ton of cash to spend, not because they're fan boys, not because they're hypnotized, but because they love the experience. Stick to what u want and stay right in that camp. Don't poke ur head out, just stay right there.

Remove your polluted brain of specs. Use the phone with a open mind. Take a few pictures, launch a few games to play, browse the web, test the faceid, feel the weight and look around it.
Come back and tell me if its high end or low end.

A person's bias towards a certain entity is irrespective of whether they know how the OS works or not. Their knowledge of how things work might be skin-deep but as long as it's Apple and a Globally known brand/company, people would prefer it compared to a Chinese brand that they might not even knew about.
As I have said before, the test were not even controlled and not even a test for which of the phone have better screen. IF they made the test in which all of the variables were controlled except for the screen, it would be a better comparison, but I believe that this is impossible.
If this is a test regarding which is the better screen then try switching the screen on both phones (hypothetically) and say to me which one would you choose? Let's say the one with Xiaomi has the exact iPhone screen physically with that notch, and the iPhone has the exact Xiaomi full screen display. Would you still choose that Xiaomi phone? I would expect those people to choose that Xiaomi phone because it is the "superior" display that were chosen previously. This is based on the premise that the users really chose the one with the better screen without any biases towards Apple as a brand.

To me, OS is like the driver. Whereby the hardware is like the race car. Who ever finishes the race first is crown the winner. No one will dispute the car's engine CC or its limitation, however there will be a bigger respect if the race car driver is using a much inferior car compared to his competitor, cause he maximize the capability of the car. Similarly, the driver get mocked if he uses a much superior car and yet lost.

And yeah, iOS' UI is more responsive and fluid compared to that of MIUI.
