Did anyone notice that this is the first metal unibody phone released in a long time? More metal phones please!

In India the price of 3S and Rog Phone 2 is not twice. In fact for twice the price you get the 512 GB variant of ROG phone 2.

So I think on paper ROG Phone 2 is hands down the better choice.

How come you guys didn't mention their upcoming pro camera software upgrade with 8kp30? People have got the Asus to do 8k with a custom profile in FreeDcam App. Did you try to get p24-p30 8k in that?

            I'm thankful I didn't but one of these 15fps 80mb/s, give me a break.

Asus makes the best VRM for GPUs, they have overall the best performance. All famous overclockers use Asus boards for overclocking records with Intel. As much as some people complain about their customer service, you cant deny that Asus hardware is top of the line. I have the ROG Phone 2 by the way, and I prefer it over my previous Note 9 in every way.

Asus is the one who created the subsidiary focused for the ultimate gamer in mind, Republic of Gamers. Asus redeemed themselves with their current offerings.

And Mr.WhoseTheBoss said this is somewhat a better gaming phone than the Asus RoG Phone II 8GB version which is available as Tencent Version in China and the original Republic of Gamers version in India. Sure he's an Indian who lives in the UK but he could've known better that the RoG Phone II is the best gaming phone, hardware and software wise.

The only thing that stopped me from even considering this phone is the Rom...It's buggy, bloated and can't even do simple things like switching to 60hz,gestures and multi-tasking..hard no!

Dear GSMarena, please add camera samples of other phones in every camera review. Samples don't mean much if they can not be compared to what other familiar representatives can do in the same conditions.

Kangal, 20 Nov 2019It all depends on the price. The original RedMagic 3 was t... moreIn china & India, too.

Probably open copper (gold plated) fins (2x8cm?) on good position (ie pratically hard to reach when in gaming hold) will net better result than moving fan,, direct contact it with SoC with high quality thermal. add neodyum magnetic net cover so user can clean it as plus, gives a game pad with fan As bonus. SoC wont even reached 30 celcius on room with AC

It all depends on the price.
The original RedMagic 3 was the "king" of the Upper-Midrange market because it offered the most features and it was very affordable. Despite having setbacks with the screen brightness, speaker loudness, and software polish. The new device only fixes one of three of those problems, so it cannot justify a price increase. Remember there's still the ASUS ZenFone 6, Lenovo Z6 Pro, ZTE Axon10 Pro, OnePlus 7t, and the dropping prices of the Samsung S10/e/Plus phones.

The ASUS RoG Phone 2 is very expensive, it was only ever affordable in China, and that was with a special discount. So they aren't really head-to-head competitors.

                                      That 60hz boost is insane.
