Anonymous, 12 Feb 2020You can just debloat it or disable all that unwanted sh*tWish if Google/Samsung give an option to uninstall apps that we don’t need it, but I know that ain’t gonna happen since Samsung keep adding more bloatware and now Samsung add google Duo to main phone dialer of S20 f...t. I used all package disabler even the latest one and I noticed those disabler apps cause some throttling issue for the phone.

Samsung, please give same chip for all markets, your Exynos chips are not good in comparison to Snapdragon chipset.

This is other thing that bothers me, the 12mpx default output. It feels wasted, not only these manufacturers should increase the sensor size they should also increase the megapixel size when using such bigger sensors. Just 16mpx would make a good difference, see that Xiaomi for example the defaults to 27mpx. It makes use of all those 108mpx to deliver more details to you, Samsung is binning a bit too much here.

At this sensor size, you can reduce the pixel size to 2.0µm and still get over 17MP of resolution (or 68MP in Tetracell). Smartphone companies should get out of 12MP territory, there's no longer point of keeping the resolution low when we're getting 5G connectivity and 1TB of storage on flagship smartphones.

now Galaxy S20U 100x digital zoom
so, next year there will be a phone with camera that can do 150x digital zoom ? or even 200x digital zoom ?

ypcx, 11 Feb 2020Normal users are interested in two different metrics: 1. h... moreIm using S10 plus Exynos 9810 and battery life aren’t that bad at all if you charge your phone without fast charging or keep fast charging off plus Samsung UI kinda heavy UI and there’s lot bloatware runs in background that needs to be off.

At this point, for a 1/1.33" sensor, i started to think pure 16mp with pure 2.0 micron pixel size are much more better than applying Nonacell bayer setup, it still can gain a great low lights with greater resolution. Oh well, at least for current setup u can achieve 108mp in well lit environment only. I still think the latter the better.
And yes, S20 ultra periscope camera confirms only has 4x optical periscope zoom. The rest are hybrid & digital.

No headphone jack = no go for me. Hope Sony flagship will be super good. Else mid-range will be the new "high-end".

Note that Quad Bayer sensors capture much less detail due to the different color filter. So unless Samsung has developed a really good super resolution algorithm, the 48 megapixel periscope camera in a 48 megapixel mode might be more comparable to an approximately 16 megapixel Bayer camera. Even a 108 megapixel Quad Bayer sensor might not be able to replace a 2x camera. For example Xiaomi's 108 megapixel camera is more comparable to an approximately 35 megapixel Bayer camera. That's why Xiaomi added a 2x camera. Theoretically you would only need a 48 megapixel Bayer sensor camera with a sharp lens in order to replace a 2x camera.
