I can buy the Note 10 Lite and the A51 for a family member for the price of the Note 9 or Note 10

I could clearly see a difference in the camera department when I compared it to my S9. Yes, you do not get all the flagship features but you can clearly see and feel it's a note device and it does the job without any lag

It makes sense to use older SoC ... but why UFS 2.1? This is silly.

Anyway, the Note 9 is a better buy ... much much cheaper.

Samsung doesn't seem to be innovating hardly at all since the note 9. So boring...

I wonder if the Note10 Lite would be a worthwhile upgrade over the Note8, or should I rather wait a few more months for the Note10 to drop to a similar price?

One thing that the review seems to be missing -- is there an option to shoot in RAW with the 1st-party camera?

A flat screen galaxy Note with decent specs — "a dream come true" for many!

I somehow have a feeling that Note 10 Lite has a better chance of making it big... than S10 Lite.

The audio jack is here, the quality is there too, the cameras are all good at various focal lengths. The S Pen too.

The target group here is not gamers, its a general productivity-aimed crowd.

However , i have decided to go for a used note 10 plus with warranty instead.

And they sealed the battery? Lol

Sean, 10 Feb 2020Nothing wrong with the processor,PC manufacturers use older... moreExynos 9820 in S10 even struggles to run PUBG Mobile at lowest details at 60fps (smooth extreme) with zero stuttering or no heating. I have tried this in an S10 (128GB). I have turned off CPU limiter, set screen resolution to HD+, and cleared RAM beforehand. Anything above this settings, the device will lag or heat up too much.

I have crosschecked graphics settings in games both on my own and what others with a similar device. Many have complained not being able to run at very high settings in games, again this is because of the weak GPU and SoC throttling under load. Notebookcheck and Anandtech has mentioned about the SoC.

Speaking of other games, the recommended settings in COD Mobile is only High at 60fps (very high framerate), weaker phones can run at this settings smoothly.

Shadowgun Legends cannot run 60fps consistently at lowest settings. But there is a patch so this has improved a little.

Black Desert Mobile runs fine at highest settings available for a while, then thermal throttles so the game automatically readjusts its settings (decrease resolution or framerate).

Fortnite won't run at Epic settings 60 framerate. Tried in a iPhone XR and that thing just aced it with no lag. It can only run 60fps at low details.

So the conclusion is, no Samsung device with Exynos SoC is fit for gaming.

My Note 10 Lite runs super fast and doesn't drain fast,I ain't fussed about gaming but a review i seen ran Pub G perfectly fine. You stress over nothing.

The processor here is super slow (for flagship one) and outdated and drain super fast the battery - that's why S10 Lite with the same battery, screen, software etc. has 110h endurance rating instead of Note's 92h... This processor is a shame - you can't play Call of Duty Mobile in "very high" graphics and "very high" frame rate settings (see in YouTube). :-(
                                      Just buy anything else!!!

If you already have a Note9, especially the SD845 variety, don't buy the Note 10 Lite. The only two things worth noting is the software (two years of major updates, against none for the Note9), and the extra camera, advantages that don't entirely offset its drawbacks.
