This phone makes the Moto Razr look so bad from build quality to performance.

Looking into the future, I say this is nothing. Except the UTG. That's the real progress.
Hope to see roll able devices soon.

it would be better if there were no camera humps on the back but that is where the circuitry of the camera lies in which would be difficult to cram in the phone for now.

For a price of $1380 and limited 200,000 fold tolerance, I would rather place it in a museum display case for everyone to see. What worries me is the closing and opening, what if you accidentally end up dropping the phone...or slam shut the phone, will it shatter?

if they would have put a functioning screen on the outside, i would own this phone as soon as it debuts.

I am not convinced. This mechanism reduces the size-factor, true, but it adds a lot complexity (therefore, increasing price) and fragility (therefore, decreasing durability). Also, I find practical the fact that my current smartphone is "ready-to-use" with a double tap (I have the LG V30), as I interact with it dozens of times per day.
So, in summary, the flip mechanism reduces the vertical size-factor at the cost of adding complexity and thickness and decreasing durability and practicality.

Gotta say. I'm impressed. Foldable glass, dude, foldable glass. This is one kind of technology at the moment. Crease is there, but theres barely any distortion when fully open.
The only nitpicking are when closed, i wish it has larger screen like Razr, no need to flip when u can just read emails & search for a song in Spotify. Less flip, greater lifetime.

Can't wait to see what Xiaomi would do with tech like this in a couple of years.

If all you want is the novelty factor then the Razr is the better design. People who just want a phone to flash and show off with don't generally care about which soc is inside. This doesn't look as good as people say, there is still an air gap - although a very small one now - and the secondary display is still terribly implemented. It looks fat folded too, nowhere near as sleek as the Razr.

And just like that, the hate for Sony's 21:9 screen aspect ration comes to an end! Phewks! 21.9:9 on the Z flip doesn't even get a mention while the Xperia 1 couldn't hear the end of it with its 21:9. We did predict this though.
