Shanti Dope, 29 Feb 2020Awww you simply cannot defend the fact that Sony is doing s... moreSony is doing something much more effectively and efficiently compared to true 120hz displays - - > LOL.

Plenty of 5 plus years old phones running fine without battery replacement. Very few people replace batteries (usually iPhone users who are focred to upgrade via updates or Android devices with already have terrible battery life like Xperia 1).

Galaxy Note users switching to Xperia 1 - - > ROFL.

I can't handle so many lies to justify your Sony.
Whatever makes you sleep at night pal.
Go on the Xperia forums, don't bother lurking here, no one gonna entertain those lies.

        4 star is fair.
Just lying about 100x zoom on back og the phone for PR and sales purposes deserve even 3 star.
I dont know what Happened to Samsung after 2016 their last true strong year for me.

PankHu, 29 Feb 2020Lol you are only relying on benchmarks, some phones can jus... moreYou definitely don't know what you are saying! Samsung don't need to cheat on benchmark.. They have pretty much good reputation in SoC sector.. You don't even have any knowledge of Chipset history.. They're being bad at raw graphic based performances for two or three years because of having Mali GPU and Adreno got better.. Nut their custom cores had still better transition capabilities than ARM or Qualcomm's one.. Even Exynos version was also good in gaming because of its raw single core performance which is the main factor for more calculation based programming.. Even should be now.. Not per with Snapdragon for using less powerful GPU

1 - Sensor size did make S20 Ultra's bokeh shots look great, but is it really something worth craving for? Portraits could almost entirely replicate it, especially with awesome background separation.
2 - Large batteries charged at extremely high wattages are extremely dangerous especially in high temperature cases. Lithium batteries hate high temperature, so charging them fast will hurt them more, and reduce their capacity over time. It may be 5000mAh for now, but for the next 6 months, it could be down to 4000mAh already. It's pure physics and thermodynamics.
3 - If we're going by DisPAIDmate's findings, then we're better off stopping this argument. You test out like 3 out of a thousand phones, then make a conclusion that one of them is the best among all thousand ones? Funny.
Back in 2018, Xperia XZ3 was hailed the best display according to general consumers' opinions, and that's without initially revealing which phone is which. Now the Xperia 1 Mark II is tuned much better to professional color reproduction, which, if the Xperia 5 is any indicator of its performance, would be a highly impressive one and definitely better than the S20 Ultra's.

They say I'm a Samsung hater, but the reality is, I just hate biases and foolish beliefs. It's clear how average this phone is, that even GSMArena didn't give higher than 4.5/5 rating for this phone, which is a big surprise considering Galaxy flagships have typically scored no less than 4.6 from GSMArena.

AnonD-754814, 29 Feb 2020The exynos 8890 was better at both single and muti core perf. Not in single core but in multi core.. But I was referring recent years

Flgshp2020, 29 Feb 2020Motion blur crap designed to give you experience of true hi... moreAwww you simply cannot defend the fact that Sony is doing something much more effectively and efficiently than the competition :((
Obviously if the display panel supports high refresh rates, then the display controller would also support high response rate. Besides, OLEDs are already pretty good with touch latency, so a 60Hz OLED with software-based 90Hz polishing would still feel like a true 90Hz even with just 60Hz response rate. Sometimes it's good to actually analyze the story behind something. Sony has always implemented things that would work well, and this one's definitely not an exception.

I don't mean to say that everyone should retain 10W chargers in the future. Rather, the battery must be capable enough of handling the insanely high power intake that the chargers give off. My Zenfone Max had a 5000mAh battery, but after 3 years of usage, it could barely last a day. That 5000mAh battery would act like 2500mAh in 1 year when continuously charged at 50W or 66W.
Changing batteries should only be done when the battery is already at least 2 years old. Sony prolongs that to 3 years with adequately fast enough charging and Qnovo Battery Care Technology. On Samsung, I guess only a few could do that.

Your own belief is yours, not an objective fact. Many Galaxy S/Note users that switched to Xperia have proven how much better Sony's display is compared to their previous phones. To see is to believe.

Discharging 5% in two hours without using it(wifi on). But im able.to get through the day with 30% battery, but i want more of that 4500mah.... so i'll pass S20 series dis yr and go get an iPhone.

So it's just an standard flagship with overhyped and some gimmicky features

Note 10+ has stable working gcam that brings huge improvement.

Xperia XZ has tiny sensor compared to this.
Don't talk when you haven't even used the HMX/HM1 sensor.

All reviews have confirmed, how this is the sensor to give closest to Dslr like portraits without portrait mode. Nothing matches this.

Where are the stats of Sony compared to other manufacturers in the context of battery optimization? What happened, cat caught your tongue?

Kept blabbering about Samsung and finally pointed out features that Chinese flagships lack.
At the end you stated your opinion that those Chinese flagship batteries would detoriate faster than Sony without any proof or evidence.

Means that ISOCELL Bright HMX in Mi Note 10 Pro is better than HM1 in S20?

GSMArena why don't you have the loudspeaker test for this S20 Utra review? From the other day I'm not seeing loudspeaker tests for some of your reviews. At the end of the day it's a phone and loudness matters especially for phone calls.

Why this early review, Gsmarena ?
Review should have been done with retail versions, not early versions which has crappy software optimization.
