I really like this phone but can you please clarify if it overheats. I am an average user just using Facebook instagram YouTube etc and for gaming just casual like temple run or 30 min Asphalt. Will it be OK for such usage ?

I just bought this phone and been using it for couple of days. Here's my personal review:
- Back design looks amazing. I don't mind the plastic back as i directly used the given free case anyway. Although i do wish that the given case is more translucent rather than transparent gray, now i can't see the amazing white colour and the comet flash effect directly. Case can get sticky so wipe it regularly.
- Front design is simple yet great. First time using IPS LCD and i don't think it's bad, in fact i think sometimes it displays color better than AMOLED (since my previous phone was AMOLED) although the black colour display is debatable on both. Watching Youtube or Netflix (it has Widevine L1) on the FHD screen is a treat. The punch hole isn't disturbing, plus the fact that it is located on the very corner of the screen means no accidental touch.
- Phone fits well in my hand and personally doesn't feel too heavy. Not the most compact phone but its size is still bearable to be hold. The volume button is on the left and the power button on the right so maybe some people need to get used to that layout.
- The mono-speaker is decent. When i first used it i thought it sounded bad since the audio sounded like echo but after more usage it's not that bad, the audio is clear and i'm okay with it. There's an audio-booster kind of thing if you plug your earphone which i haven't tried, so there's an alternative.
- About 90 hz.. At first i didn't see the hype. I was like "People boasted this much for a simple smooth scrolling?" and to be honest i didn't really notice the difference after turning it on. But after some more phone usage i find my phone to be really smooth. I love the animation so much, switching apps feels so 'modern' and maybe the UI has a part to it, so while it's not 100% revolutionary for me, it definitely contributes to a great user experience. I haven't noticed the 90hz much when it comes to gaming experience.
- The UI is the deal, by the way. I was not expecting a new UI as i expected another toy-like UI from BBK, but the new Realme UI is just dope. It's similar to stock android and looks more 'serious' and simple with more features. Bloatware still there but it's not a huge dealbreaker. As someone who likes a simple interface, this is perfect. Realme's PR should advertise the UI more, honestly.
- The side finger print is something i didn't know i need. My last phone had a in-screen fingerscanning and at times it stuttered. Not the worst, but not the best either. This one on the other hand is insanely fast. I like to double tap my idle screen and just scan my finger to unlock my phone. So quick and efficient!
- Battery life is good. Lasts me a whole day especially around this stay-at-home period where you use your phone pretty much the whole time. I do think it can be better, but then i use my phone intensely, turn the 90 hz feature on, occasionally play graphic-intense games, and turn the power saving mode only when my phone reached 20%, plus some more stuffs in the background.. So there's that.
- Charging speed is insanely good. From low battery to 100% in an hour or less. I actually still forget at times that my phone charges this fast. The fact that this feature is sold for a phone at this price is crazy and this is exactly what you should call market destroyer.
- Gaming experience has been so far amazing. Phone doesn't overheat and graphic looks amazing. I don't know much about gaming terms since i'm just a casual player but i can say i'm satisfied with how the phone handles graphic games.
- Camera is okay. 64 MP pictures look sharp and great. Widecam pic looks okay. Macro cam has too low resolution but with great natural light, still usable, and depth sensor works well although i think it looks a bit fake. No over processing stuff but there's beauty feature if you want your acne to disappear for a snap. Chroma Boost is way too oversaturated but i can see it as a great feature for your travel photos (after Corona, of course!). Night pics look decent too. Since i haven't ventured out i haven't really tested more of the camera but i can say it's good for indoor usage, although the image processing especially the night mode could be improved as pics look washed out :/ i would say this is not the phone for selfie lovers but for a budget phone, it takes photos well. Video recording is also great, audio quality is good, there's steady feature and also 1080@60fps if one needs 60 fps. The slow-mo selfie is really zoomed though, not sure if this is gonna be usable from a hand-held perspective. Can i hope for a stabilized 4k recording via update?
- The SoLoop app to edit videos is a great addition for in-built video editor.
- An extra thing: if you turn the Eye Care feature on from the swipe bar, the screen does NOT turn yellow directly. You do have to go to settings and swipe to turn the yellow light on since you can adjust the level.
I think there are more stuffs i haven't discovered from my phone or things listed above that may improve or maybe even degenerate (which i hope not), but overall i find this phone to be a real deal. For the price, it is a satisfaction. Realme, good job.

I bought this phone from Amazon and it's a bargain the screen is so smooth when scrolling. The camera is amazing in daylight and I would recommend using the 64mp mode in the daylight for maximum detail. It does produce more detail I compared it to the 16mp default one.

adekola, 02 May 2020I think GSMArena.com should include heating review of these... moreWhy? Some very famous phone teardown review places out there. Seems greedy to monopolise. Be less lazy and use Google. Not hard to find a teardown provided by specialist's.

J.K, 17 May 2020Any heat and battery leak issue?Brand new phones tend not to have a leaky battery lol. If yours does, means it's broke and you should return for a replacement.

J.K, 17 May 2020Any heat and battery leak issue?I've been using it for 2 months now and pretty damn satisfied with it for its price. I have average use mostly social media and not much YouTube. I get consistently 6 to 7 hours of screen time before battery hits 20 from 100 percent. With minimal usage I can stretch the battery backup to 25 hours on a single charge. And the 30 w vocc is damn amazing. Camera is decent if there lighting. Video has decent stabilization as well. Over all for the price I don't think you will find a better phone.

Haven't owned a Realme phone before. Can you remove the Realme apps for Video, Browser etc if you prefer to use Google apps as your default apps? I have a Xiaomi now and it annoys me that I can't uninstall the Xiaomi apps I never use!
