Anonymous, 22 Apr 2020Special mode for benchmarks is the definition of cheating..That special mode can be simply activated in the OS for normal use as well. It's turned off by default to conserve battery and can automatically turn on during heavy tasks like video editing and gaming.
So there is no cheating. Simply extracting full potential of the CPU. The added cooling vapor Chamber here helps as well.

But you do get QHD+ screen resolution, 120Hz, USB 3.1 and IP68 rating for exactly the same price as this Xiaomi on the same configuration.

First I'd like to say I ... moreThat's exactly what Nokia did back then with the Lumia 1020. f/2.2 definitely sounds terrible on low light, but such aperture from a 2/3" sensor definitely pays dividend for focus and depth of field.
1) no sd card for a phone that takes 27MP photos and "8K" videos.
Most flagship phones didn't have an SD card, so deal with it.
2) not even IP54
I never see Xiaomi include such feature on any of their phone anyway.
3) no, your test and graphic shows it is not best sound.
Personal preference.
4) older gorilla 5
Again, personal preference.
5) no EIS for 4K60
OIS should suffice.
6) one cam cannot make videos

I'd say that design of this phone is something average - something that we have seen many times before this and last year. And this is very disappointing. Damn too many phones right now which look the same like this one!. It seems that only Sony make something different and interesting these days. To my opinion this phone is unremarkable for given price. Not interested at all.

Nick Tagataka, 22 Apr 2020Daylight camera performance is decent on all 3 phones' main... moreActually I am also deciding between mi 10 pro and oppo find x2 pro but I included oneplus pro as well in my options. And here in china, I have a price advantage for all 3 phones compare to rest of the world (with same ram and hard xiaomi costs 5500, oppo 7000, and oneplus 6000 Chinese yuan). So it is a bit tough choice.
Nonetheless, I disagree with your opinion of xiaomi having better camera than oppo.
For example, if we take video into account, then xiaomi is totally loser here (and it is actually one of my main reason hesitating on xiaomi). Oppo has EIS across all its cameras even in 10x which makes the video shooting a true joy. while Xiaomi doesn't even shoot video with its 3.7x camera. And EIS is just limited to 30 FPS. The only advantage that xiaomi may have here is pro video mode and better 2x zoom video.
Then again on pictures, they just trade blows. Xiaomi's ultra wide does a better job in good light (not sure if 48 mgp output of oppo can make up in good light) while completely lose the night shots on ultra wide. As for zoom pics I am quite surprised by Xiaomi, very decent and quite comparable with oppo 5x both day and night (better even at night). And as for main camera, even though it has more detail (which I love) but it has huge softness in the corner of the image which makes me worried if this lens has a problem. while oppo does it quite solid across the board.
The rest of the package is all in favor of oppo except 2 areas: wireless charge (which I don't need but reverse wireless charge is a nit thing to have) and better speaker (I have listened two both of them in stores and can tell you that xiaomi is in a different league).
But screen, build (leather and ceramic vs glass), gorilla glass 6, IP68, USB 3, fast charging goes to oppo.
battery life I would say oppo is not worse than xiamio cause if xiaomi would have been using the same panel I doubt that it could even match the oppo. and yet you always have the option in oppo to switch to 1080 60hz to save battery in critical moments.
Finally, Xiaomi has the price advantage which is not so easy to cross. :))))

I'm confused. In review you say that FM radio app is available. But I can't see any on screenshots and specs sheet says no FM radio. What's the truth?
