The one thing that has let all the Xiaomi phones down that I've used since the mi 5/6 is the haptics, and even these weren't as good as alot of other phones.
According to a few other reviews I've read, this phone is up there with the best in this respect, yet (unless I've missed it) this doesn't even get a mention in the review.

gsmarena, you are wrong to say not to shoot in 108M. Just compare the tree right of entrance on gsmarena_025.jpg. On 25M (AI on and off) it looks like every branch was wrapped in protective bag. For some reason this it the effect on many phones. Based on your sample photos (I don't own this phone, so cannot say) I would would always shoot in 108M and downsize as needed later (maybe already on the phone, but after taking photo).

It crops from Main sensor at n... moreSo called great samsung's 108mp sensor on this phone can't even beat decade old sensor on a pixel and a tiny 12mp sensor on an iphones. This sensor is newer but that doesn't make it better sony's imx586 48mp sensor. Mi phones always produce over exposed pics no matter what. Their is point of having a newer sensor if your image processing is a shit.

This phone has a much bigger sensor than the old Sony phones. Given the same megapixel count, how can a small sensor produce less noisy images than a large sensor?
