Baradov, 03 May 2020Apple Are you kidding me.. are you trying to sell iPhone8 w... moreChill it's just a refurbished iPhone with a better SoC. This isn't something the company are showing off as their new tech. Its just allow people who prefer the older design more to buy a new iPhone that will last long. As you can see apple didn't even have an announcement so it's not like they are showing off how 'cool' and 'innovative' it is. Anyways this phone is and iPhone 8, but cheaper and faster, like I said, just an refurbishment and recycling old parts.

kwisatz haderach, 03 May 2020Why do you need that absolute power if the display is so sm... moreFor future proofing the phone, so it can last years before needing to be replaced and since it uses the new beast of a SoC, apple can afford to give multiple ios updates for at least the next 4 or 5 years. Also the a13 preforms fanatically not only for gaming but daily usage, image processing, battery efficiency, etc.

Anonymous, 03 May 2020Because apple fan start to bragging it's the best phone in ... moreI disagree, i think that it's just android fans, more specifically, people who love xiaomi, oppo, realme etc. Basically any fan who like android phones from Chinese companies. I think that they are hating on it because there are 'better' android alternatives. Personally i think the SE 2020 is a great option, considering it's just an iPhone 8 but future proofed at a lower price. I don't see any apple fans boasting about how great this phone is because it isin't. You what is a great iPhone, the 11 trio, but this is just an iPhone at a lower cost. Not aimed at the Xioami nor realme, just a regular 'cheap' iPhone.

Goos, 03 May 2020A 1821 mAh battery and 3.5 hours screen on time in 2020 ? ... moreSome people look for smaller phone (despite the resolution, this phone still have 300+ppi)
for normal use (without tele and wide), the camera will slay most of sub-$300 budget phone thanks to apple tuning.
some of the smartphone at $400 bracket will be able to compete tough.

For the most part you pay for the apple name and mostly for the SoC which is on par with basically current flagships.
which are rather unfortunate considering this phone have sucky battery and 2+ hour to charge that sucky battery. Not sure whether the charging rate is enough to charge the phone while you game on it on powerbank.
while the current X-series is a full day battery phone, this is half day battery phone.

Please add headphone jack this is only the good idea to this think get cheapest to all

If you consider buying this phone, first think about what you want. This is a great phone but has its shortcomings.

You should buy this phone if you:
              -Want good build quality
-Want wter resistance on your phone
-Dont need a long lasting battery
-Are fine with a single camera setup
-Want an iphone but are on budget

You should look for aomething else if you:
-Want a long lasting battery life to last you that extended usage
-Use Ultra-Wide and Telephoto cameras a lot
-Watch Videos or Play games a lot on your phone
-Have problems typing on small screens
-Love your wired headphones better (I mean $50 Sony headphones have better sound quality than $100 AirPods, no one can blame anyone for not wanting to overpay)

Your other options are higher priced iPhones, upper Midrangers or flagship killers. Or older flagships.

Not every phone is for everyone. Get your priorities right

The only part where I see the computing performance Is in web browsing. For that, the loading time on some sites are way better than Cortex A73 implementations such as the one of Redmi Note 7

I have this phone since a week. Apple A13 is an absolute beast. The keyboard is a joy to use. Battery life has been abysmal for the first 3 cycles but now I can do more than 5 hours LTE web surfing. That is good. In comparison to my Redmi Note 7, I would say it has 40% less battery life. I guess the battery test here has been done before the 3 recharge cycles. Anyhow the behavior of this iPhone battery is really weird for the first cycles. I recommend this phone

SE is Apple's cynical taunt at its buyers.
It stands for Six and Eight.
It's there to remind you that you keep buying the same phone and keep telling yourself it's a bargain.
