Apple iPhone SE (2020) review

I think Only The buyers who want the apple logo in their phone for showing off will buy this. The only positive i can see in this is the powerful chip. But what is the point of using it on this device.

I think apple is not selling phones but their logo.

    So the S20 Ultra is also a rubbish phone. Comes with display, camera (hardware issues and glass breaking). Also comes with slow chipset. Not just Apple, Samsung is going to be a dead company. Mark my words.

        Yes it's made from plastic, other OEMs already put glass panels in both sides and an aluminium frame at least.

        Maybe for a little extra (or the same price in Asia or Europe) will get you a Mi Note 10 with a very good camera setup. Outgoing Oppo Reno 2 will also make sense.

          If it had a notch and better battery, it would have been sold like hot cakes

            I am noticing only Android fans here.
            None of you is suitable to post comments yet since none of you tried to use this great cheap phone.
            You want bigger screen, buy other iphone model. Not everyone want to drag their TV with themselves!
            Most of your comments are about the battery like you are going to work on it which is stupid.
            And last thing, you are all forgetting to comment about the greatest thing about this phone.
            What about the processor? Oh yeah, it has the latest technology so please stop posting ridiculous comments!

The worst battery life I see in last years phones! Iphone 11 is the best choice, my daughter use it and I know for me is much much better on battery. Too bad! I like this "old" concept of SE 2020, but for me battery is enough for only half day...

                    Plus, you forgot iPhone SE has wireless charging AND IP rating.

                    Cameras are technically a wash since pixel 4a and iPhone should do the same on daytime photos, while pixel 4a has night photos, iPhone has superior video recording.

                    But it's your preference.

                        The phone is a no go for most ppl with that tiny 4.7 inch screen.
                        A niche device at best.

                        Content consumption, gaming, web browsing everything is better on big screen.
                        Heck even texting and typing using a keyboard on tiny 4.7 inch screen is cumbersome for most users.

                        Try playing first person shooter games, 50% of screen area already taken up by on screen buttons on such a tiny screen.

                        The A13 is nothing to brag about, the tiny screen destroys the potential of the chipset.
                        They could've easily put a 5.5-5.8 inch screen in those same physical dimensions.

                          I was expecting at leat 88 hr endurance , but sadly it shows that this soc in the phone is not energy efficient as it is advertised ..

                          Apple if you are reading this , 1mm more thickness wont hurt to add a larger battery in a low end phone , where being ultra slim is not something people are looking for at that price range.

                          be smart Apple or get another CEO.

                            Mind you that Pixel 4 is proper flagship whereas iPhone SE is budget and compact phone.
                            Also compare the price.

                            I agree iPhone SE has mediocre battery life but bashing repeatedly don't make it any better. Also apart from meh battery and old design, it is as much good as 2020 flagship.

                              not sure what it is, but something about iPhones intrigues me... even knowing that it's probably not the right ecosystem for me. i'm also quite sure that i would sorely miss the tall aspect ratio here. you might call 18:9 and taller stupid for media viewing, but i find it very nice for just about everything else

                                  For that amount of money, both vanilla P30 & S10 obviously better on most aspects, except of course performance on specsheet. Both phones still considered as 'compact' in 2020.

                                  But if u stuck in the iOS world, obviously theres no other choice lol.

                                    Wow, if your not going to include a fast charger in the box, at least put a 10W charger like normal human beings, 2h30min to charge a 1800mAh battery, what is this, 2011?

                                      I have an S10e, the last true compact Android flagship, and I'm glad Apple still releases powerful compact phones because this will force Android manufacturers both to lower their stupid high prices and to release compact phones.

                                      Simply put, if you want the best camera for a cheapest price the only option is the iPhone SE. All Androids are garbage at this price point and even the new 48, 64 and 108MP "flagships" actually have worse image quality than 12 MP sensors with large pixels.

                                      The difference between the iPhone SE and Pixel 4a is that you can use an iPhone SE for like 5 years, you just replace the battery every 18 months or so which is an easy and cheap process.

                                      All in all, this phone is a win for Apple and also for Android customers.

                                        Lol at the reviewer trying to stick up for the battery life by calling 59hrs "respectable". Makes the Pixel 4 look like a stamina king.
