An extremely bad buy for the following reasons:
1. slow software updates
2. short life of updates, model released in July 2020, the last update is from July 2022 and it is not on Android
3. software bugs that were fixed extremely slowly
4. hardware bugs, fingerprint stopped working, poor call quality

I will never buy a Motorola again

        Very gooood👍♥️

I got the moto g 5G plus, around December 2020 after losing my iPhone. Not really sure why? it was between Moto and one plus, that was a little more money and had an extra 2gb ram.
But I'm so happy I got the Motorola, it has easily been the best phone I have owned so far, the screen is crisp and clear, and it runs nice and smooth with the 6gb ram.
And this is a very easy phone to root, for the little extra bits

I think this smartphone is performing great for it's value. Good 90hz screen, videos look smooth. Good GPU, most games run very well, even Fortnite. Overal good choice. I was only shocked by the extremely poor camera quality. My old Huawei P20 light makes better pictures. Wasn't this quad pixel technology supposed to perform really well? Is anyone else experiencing the same thing?

An overall rating of 3.4 seems to be unreasonable.

This phone has everything an average user needs:

                    • Stock Android
                    • audio jack
                    • SD card slot
                    • 90 Hz, HDR10 display (LCD: durable with accurate colors)
                    • great cameras for casual use and scanning documents
                    • great video recording output
                    • decent processor
                    • customizable gestures
                    • 5G
                    • dependable battery life (114 endurance rating)
                    • US$279 price tag or less

the problem i had with oleds is that they seemed to deteriorate faster... one of my n8 has totally burnt display... it started with a black hole then gradually extended until it covers the entire display... my lumia 1020 also has black lines only visible in dark room (i can still see some light on turned off pixels, perhaps because of reflection from other pixels, but there is that line which is totally black)... then there are those pink lines on amoleds...
though some ips also have some problems like screen retention which is usual on ips with higher nits... older ips are bit washed out... though newer ones are already good that the black levels are almost that of oleds...

but still, a headphone jack and expandable storage makes this phone worth considering... even in 2021

I couldn't get any better with this price, I am really surprised what an amazing hardware quality Motorola has been applied on this phone!
I got this phone from Germany Amazon for $500 CAD 128GB 6GB of RAM
Cons, Face unlocking, if it saves your face at night it will recognize you only at night, it's not really important to me since I am using fingerprint unlock instead.
Pros, 1. Threes days battery 2. Quickly get on BT or any saved WiFi, NFC is amazing quick on getting on to my headset or when I charging my public transport card.
                                3. reasonably fast on any app or browsing on the net.
                                4. Awesome job on a single speaker with super power voice !
This is my third Motorola since I got my first cell phone and my first smart Motorola, I am super happy for the best decision I have made, I think I am in love with Motorola phones !! Lol !!
                                4. Looks like a luxury phone !

But its the trend right now. people now dont think about using a device for more than a year or two, thats why they dont care what happens in the long run. I personally wont mind having a top LCD instead of OLED in the flagships I wanna buy, but the lowest brightness of the display has to be really low so I can use my phone at night without stressing my eyes. in case of LCD, most of the companies dont care about it, for me its a big drawback. I guess for a lot too.
