Actually I am surprised that with this hardware (big battery, lower power chipset, low resolution) it didn't get a much higher battery life.

The phone has all the things I need that the Xiaomi doesn't have: a headphone jack, expendable storage, OLED, updates for 4 years and a cheaper price. If you want to spend more, want a higher refresh rate and don't care about the jack, buy the Xiaomi. The A71 is perfect for daily use, battery life is long, but gaming is sometimes not the best idea (it can run games smooth, but sometimes the phone gets hot). The Xiaomi should perform better in games

Tech Stat Geek, 08 Mar 2021And this lads is why we consider Xiaomi & Realme That's true. Had the A41 and the A20 for some time. Really average phones (even in day to day usage). Not even the Oled screen could save that phones (which was the only positive from that phones, probably the compact dimensions too).
And I know somebody who had an A71 (I played with that model too for short while). In my country it cost similar with the Mi 10T (6Gb variant). Lol, no comparison. The Xiaomi is far better.
But, Samsung phones has its particularities. Especially in more expensive models. Budget models are not so appealing though, when you consider other manufacturers in same price category.

If you guys think this A02s is bad, wait until you hear about the A02. That phone is using a 28nm Mediatek chipset, in 2021. Samsung probably got that chipset for free and aiming that phone for brand suckers.

"Redmi no it's Samsung". But what does it mean? So it is true that you only look at the brand rather than the characteristics of the smartphone. This Samsung smartphone sucks and it is an insult to sell it at that price, like almost all smartphones.

No matter how you try to squeeze the good out of a Samsung budget phone.... Its still not comparable to the other competitors

Or that if given a chance to have high profit margins that Xiaomi wouldn't trade places? You might want to study up on business to get a clearer picture.

Samsung is fully capable of giving this phone better specs (for its price) since they have the manufacturing and ownership for most of the phone hardware that they can use if they wanted to, which Xiaomi and Realme doesn't. I can't wrap-up my mind with Samsung's pricing, Xiaomi and Realme even buys Samsung parts for their phones and yet they can still give lower-pricing (AMOLEDs for example, OFC not in this price-range). This simply boils down to Samsung unnecessarily cutting important corners just to satisfy their high-profit margins, even the low-end market is not excempted.

I thought HMD released trash, but it seems Samsung wants a piece of that pie too lol.
Why on Earth would anyone buy this over a Realme, Xiaomi or Motorola?
Oh and that Snapdragon 450 in 2021 is a major insult. They could have gone with a Helio P60 (it's dirt cheap these days).
