r33fd, 03 May 2021All of the good things get negated by LCD screen.
Any pe... moreI actually prefer the 144Hz IPS LCD over OLEDs for long-term use, since the organic dyes used in OLEDs degrade faster when exposed to heat, say, from sustained gaming or charging. AMOLED burn-in is a well-known problem by now. The ignorant fangh3ys don't care about the long-term display quality though because they are brainwashed by marketing BS into buying overpriced phones yearly.
Also, these peak brightness tests are useless & irrelevant since most people use less than 50% brightness for actual daily use. I usually game in 40% brightness on an LCD screen, watch videos with the brightness on auto, read long articles at 20% brightness, etc. I couldn't care less if an AMOLED screen can go to 100000000 nits, since in the real world I'd only use a small fraction of the peak brightness anyway. Even using a phone outdoors in sunlight I've never had a problem with any LCD screen, it's not a big deal. These display lab tests are only mildly interesting to me, but they are mostly immaterial & irrelevant, just like arbitrary & artificial DxO scores for cameras.

i realy like this phone. been using for about 4 months, never had any major issue, screen is great for an IPS LCD, easier for my eyes. it has good battery life, fluid UX, everything feels fast and smooth. the only downside for me was MIUI. its not bad UI, actualy its nice UI with tons of costumize options, but i get used to one UI for long time and its features usefull for me. i use Mi 10T and S20 with crappy exynos 990 side by side. for me one UI is easier and its feature usefull at least for me, that's the only thing i like about S20. but for other things Mi 10T is better

You are also limited to 240fps slow mo on Mi 10T, while the Pro gets to 960fps. Mi 10T also maxes out at 10x digital zoom while Mi 10T Pro gets you 30x digital zoom

Why aren't more compact phones the size of pixel 4a with similar performance and within that price point with minimum 3600 mah battery & sd card support available in market. Why are all manufactures making long phones. And what is with the 20 : 9 screen ratio when human eyes perceive the world in 4:3 ratio. Which idiot movie maker thought 20:9 screen ratio is the right one.

Anonymous, 04 May 2021Miui 12.5 literally has less bloatware than iOS. Yeah, only if you uninstall them. If you don't uninstall them, it is on par with BBK bloatwares

I have been using my Mi 10T Pro since it launched. I am glad i bought it at pre order. It is such an value phone. It costs IDR 6.999.000 at 256 GB($460). While S20 Fe costs same as Mi 10 at IDR 9.999.000 at 128 GB ($660).
My only complaints are that the device is huge, heavy, bulky.
Lack of headphone jack is made up by the dongle that comes in box and the TWS pre order gift. Lack of microsd i don't mind since it has 256 gb storage.
The screen is lcd, yes. But it gets bright outdoors sunny day, colourful enough, auto brightness is great. Everything is smooth and responsive thanks to 144hz. No bleeding edge or scratches anywhere. I also rarely see that LCD gray colour when looking black contents.
Battery is awesome. I get up at morning 7 Am, does a lot of zoom, meetings, play games for literally nonstop for 7 hours until 2 PM, battery is still 36%. then it needs to be charged. Charging is fast. 1 minute gets you 2%, 30 minutes gets you 60%. Full charge takes 57 minutes. Device gets warm while charging.
The build quality, design is awesome. Except the size, weight, thickeness which is overkill. Especially when you put an case on it.
The haptics are awesome. On par with Iphone 12 Pro Max and Note 20 Ultra. You always feel the haptic feedback when you type, scroll to bottom, voloume slider, gestures, and play games. It is precise and crisp. But not as good as Mi 11. But it is as good as Mi 10.
Speakers are mediocre. They distort at high volumes, bass, highs, lows are fine. Just keep volume below 65% to avoid distortion. But they are stereo, and the top one is not that good at sound quality, but surprisingly loud. The bottom speakers is easily blocked by hand when gaming because of its position at left side of USB C port.
The cameras. The maim cam is ULTRA. It nails every shooting conditions (except extreme backlight, extreme lowlight, closeups) in auto mode. Night mode is only used when at super dark scenes. Auto mode is sharp, full of HDR, but noisy. Night mode just works to brighten it up and cleans the noise as the expense of details. Ultrawide lens is fine, they can be used with night mode. And i often used it more than the main cam. The macro cam which i thought to be gimmick, i found myself using it more, because the main camera blurs too much when up close and cannot focus close. So when takimg photo of my school document, i often used macro camera to get all parts in focus. Gcam is recommended in indoors, astrophotography, and portraits. One tips : Remember to force HDR on all time, since if you let it at auto, often times photos will lack in dynamic range, blown highlights. So remember to toggle HDR, you won't sacrifice details or have more noise, you just get better shot at the expense of longer shooting times. At night, auto hdr always kicks in, so no worries. The selfie cam is mediocre, the photos are soft at indoors, night mode doesn't work at front. Selfie video crop is very tight. Rear camera video is fine, not great. Dynamic range, consistency, and you cannot change lens when shooting. Video quality is sacrificed a lot, but sharpness, exposure, etc are great.
Performance is fine, the sustained performance is excellent. While peal performance is on par with others. I played genshin impact for 1 hour and temperature reached only 40°C at highest settings and the fps only drops from 60fps at start to 45 - 50 fps.
