        What the hell is the point of making this phone? There's no difference in gpu at all. Freakin idiot ASUS just give android 11 to previous ROG phones instead. Who buys a phone for just 1 year of upgrade?

            I couldn't understand what are these fuss about incremental update from 5 to 5s. I see this as a slightly better than most manufacturers slightly better updates. If the price is still the same, you'll get more bang for your buck: the RAM, the faster touchscreen, and the processor.

              801, 821, 855+, 860(855++), 865+, 870(865++), 768(765+) should have never been made.

              Worst part is few chips like 870 are being sold like it was new chip, just like 808.

                      I bought the 2nd iteration, only for the speakers. At that time i don't think any other phone had such loud speakers and that price for a 512 GB capacity.
                      It doesn't get any updates, but still it's like a functional DAC for my music.

                        Mobile games aren't enough for hardcore gamers, and people who likes luxurious phones won't touch this with a two foot pole.

                                The best hope is that SD888+ can be a better binned version whit less overheating, I hope golden reviewer make a thermal test in this model.

                                  These Asus folks have quite a bit of complaints about updates, they don't send updates

                                    Dometalican, 16 Aug 2021It's literally the 5 with a newer processor and ZERO u... moreI mean the touch-sampling rate is higher, but I agree this is pretty pointless as an upgrade. But it seems to me this is meant for those who don't already have an ROG Phone 5. As long as it's not more expensive, this seems like it'll be the version to get. If they do increase the price though, I don't see why most people wouldn't get the 5. The 888+ isn't that much stronger, and the touch sampling rate was already high. Just like 1440p phones (which I still think is dumb but I am a little softer towards), this probably will only appeal to a very specific audiance.

                                      Does it have hardware buttons like xperia play or snail much i5/i7? No? Then it s not a gaming phone. It s just a bar phone
