I have never had any issues with this phone.. It was my favorite cell of all! Even now in 2019 with all the fancy cells phones, that little Sony 760 still rivals many in the features it offers.

My w760 came with mega bass equaliser. No clear bass equaliser as seeen on the review... Does anybody know why it can be like this ?

It includes Google Maps and Wayfinder Navigator. You don't need to buy an extra software for the GPS. There is also an option if you want assisted start when using the GPS.
Assisted GPS (A-GPS) is used to speed up start-up times of GPS-based positioning systems. GPS may have problems getting a lock when the signal is weak and in such a case A-GPS would assist in getting a lock.
This, however, is achieved by the use of an Assistance Server, so a data connection is required and charges may apply for the data transfer. (http://www.gsmarena.com/glossary.php3?term=a-gps)
GPS doesn't use internet connection except when using assisted start. Google maps and wayfinder navigator uses internet connection to load map data.

This is by far the worst phone Ive ever had. It deletes phonenumbers from inside my pocket, sometimes it just switches off for no apparent reason and it takes up to half an hour to get back on, uploading music hardly ever works, the earphones you recieve with them are ridiculous, the plugs feel very brittle like they could break at any moment, its ugly..
Whoever designed this garbage should have spent a few days trying it out before unleashing this atrocity onto the market.

If your experiencing any problem with your phone, update it via SEUS(Sony Ericsson Update Service) it will help. my phone works perfectly as intended after I updated.

other than camera and flash, after 10 min. the phone heats up so bad that if you want to talk longer, you'll have a burned ear.. battery dies in 3 days even if u don't talk, and if you do then 3 hours.. did I mention it's a brand new phone.. and I had already exchanged my first same phone because of screen failure.. very disappointed.. will never buy sony eric. EVER>>> crappy phone with a nice design.. :}

The screens are different from the equalizer in my w760

The only thing i like about the phone is the set up! This phone gets on my nerves! it has no flash on the camera, so the pics and video comes out rubbish! the phone just freezes all the time, i could be on the phone 2 some 1 and it will cut out half the conversation which is really frustrating, trying 2 write a text an nothing happens on screen! listening 2 music and it cuts out half way through, not good at all! a friend of mine had the same phone an the exact same problems and sold hers on ebay 4 £80! i mite do the same an get a better 1! plus don't really like the colours, black an yellow, it looks ugly!

i think the phone is nice and the and its specifications shows its good qualities.eventhough it has some weakness here and there,i dun think any1 shud give bad comments.:)

How do I enter fulscreen mode? Since I've know tried the phone but didn't manage to change the font size, there's no description on how to do this on the manual or on the sony ericsson website including the downloadable manual.

Hi, i'm come from indonesia...
i need a phone to replace my old nokia 8250...
i think my choice is between this phone (w760) and w910..
does anyone know which one is better??? for price/quality???
last time i check in bandung it cost me Rp 2,6 million for w910 and Rp 2,5 million for w760...
does it worth it to buy this phone?
does the slider is wobble???

Can anyone tell me how the sound of MP3s compares to an iPod? Is it not as good? Nearly as good? How would it sound if you plugged it into a stereo?

i bought this phone and the camera is rly bad
but i like the design
for the loudspeaker its same as my old phone w810
and camera also better w810 den this bcoz w760 no auto focus n macro
so don expect too much from the camera
even its 3mpx stil lose to w810 2mpx

This year I had 4 differnt sony ericsson cell phones (lol) Its true! and this is the best one. Ok, the camera is not the best but the model the sound the displey is just fab! is a good pice!
4 stars for SE with this model!

walkman series are not made for quality photos, are made for music and entertainment. i have the black w760, i'm very happy with it, much better then my old w580. pics are good enough, videos also are good. if u want a camera phone go for the C-series. W-series are for music and cameras are for taking a photo when u need it. anyway, a great phone. recommend it. :D

This phone is now out and available as of 5/6/08.. the only place I have found that has it is timtechs.com though.

By my idea, this phone look wonderfull with it's side. And more over it's sound is more ingreadible. but what make it bad is it's camara. why there is no flash and video camara? if there are wto more thing it will be nicer. so the best idea is to install these wto more things.
