I do agree. I really can't understand why Apple can't do better. For example, Canon cameras don't have this issue.
I have access to an iPhone 13 Mini and sometimes the camera can produce very unnatural results, this surprises me. I took a photo of a plant and the image looked as if someone totally overused Adobe Lightroom's Clarity slider. Extreme, black contours.

I have access to an iPhone 13 Mini. Sadly, there is no true manual white balance slider in auto mode. There is a warmth slider, which is a white balance slider, but it adjusts the auto(!) white balance, so it doesn't prevent sudden auto white balance changes in the same room. The user interface isn't good either, you can't access the warmth slider easily. You always have to click on the arrow, etc..

When you say uninspiring standby for battery, its bit unclear. Can you please compare with any previous model so that its more clear? For example: Standby performance is worst that iPhone 11 pro.
