Funny thing is, I actually prefer the volume and power button put on either side of the phone. And I've never had any problem handling the alert slider with a case on. That said, I have a OP6, so I don't know if the handling of the alert slider is generally worse on the OP9 Pro.

Add to that most reviews mentioned 9 Pro's cameras still not much improvement over the 8 Pro despite the hyped Hasselblad collaboration.

The heating issues are still a ongoing problem especially when you are using the camera.......

Great sensors for the main + UWA cameras, native 12-bit RAWs are nice and it could get even better with 3rd party camera apps. But the stock camera processing still needs some tuning (From what I can tell, OnePlus did tone down the sharpening significantly, though - so no more awful oilpainiting effect) as some of those shots are way too contrasty and deepest shadows are pretty much obliviated in the scenes with high dynamic range.

Anonymous, 02 Nov 2021Can't imagine the situation at OnePlus HQ. Everyone ru... moreDespite the chaos within BBK, they are the largest phone conglomerate today. Their brands combined outsell Samsung. However, it's because they're separated into various brands that have allowed them to escape the notice of the US government and has even allowed them to sell OnePlus phones in the US. Huawei and Xiaomi have not been able to get a foot into the US market. So, their strategy is obviously working and I really wish them well. Hope OnePlus can polish up their software though.

I am using this phone since the launch day. While I agree on most of the things said in the review, I am disappointed he didn't mentioned the heating issue which is plaguing the phone. It's not ordinary heating issue which gives frequent heating warnings. Maybe it goes above 50 degrees in hot conditions.

Can't imagine the situation at OnePlus HQ. Everyone running confused and helter-skelter, Oppo employees coming in, BBK (parent) Coming in and thinking of making vivo as flagship creator and pushing OP down.....huh...

save your money and buy second hand Samsung S20 and you'll be happier. photos are so much better on Samsung. Also, OP9 battery is really bad. i switched from S20 to OP9 for a month and sold oneplus got back to Samsung.

Why no lowlight photo and videos samples? No selfies too?
