With the exception of 1+ this list also applies to the Canadian market; 1+ isn't widely available here. Nokia, Motorola, Google, Asus and Sony can be ordered by Amazon or some Staples or Best Buy stores. Samsung and Apple are the dominant brands in retail cellphone providers here (Rogers, Telus, Bell, Virgin). If you purchase the aforementioned smartphones that are from stores make sure these phones will work with your cell provider.

i think the iphones are kinda overrated but still good list, found some great phones to recommend to family

so they all suck, why isnt there a phone with latest snapdragon, sd card slot upto or more 2 TB for future sd cards, phone jack, OLED, bootloader unlockable and rootable.

Why I'm not surprised gsmarena choosed iphone as the best one, I was expecting nothing else than that.
                        Why?

What a boring list of phones. In the land of the free, there are less number of brands free to choose from, particularly in the budget category. Only brand that makes things exciting on this list is OnePlus honestly.

I find it pretty funny that some phones are knocked down for not having microsd still. This is a joke right? Less is more.

And why knock phones for not including headphones or chargers? It's a strange blast from the past. You expect a free pair of Airpods with your iPhone? Or just some cheapo junk that'll go straight in the trash? I don't get it.

Whining about notches still? Buy a phone without one then. Who cares?

A lot of stuff has become "pixel peeping" on specs - so few people care whether a display is 90 vs 120hz. It's a joke to even comment. It makes this review ridiculous. I am losing respect for GSMArena. There is nothing else more important because most phones are pretty much the same really. And a $200 phone does frankly 90% of what a $1000 phone does for nearly anyone. Maybe you're "special" - I'm not.

Here you completely ignore the user software experience, support etc. too. What?! Oh wait. That $800 phone I just got only has patches for 2 years. Wow. But it has a in-screen camera or some junk. Wow.

Have an Apple already? Get another iPhone. Have a Samsung already? Get another one. Etc. Don't waste your time. The differences between Android variants between manufacturers are huge in usability vs the peeping over small hardware details. And I say this as someone who went from a cheap Android to an iPhone 13 Pro....

In my opinion, the iPhone's camera bump is more of an eyesore than the one in the s21 series.
