Muhammad-Oli, 10 Apr 2008I find it surprising that GSMArena's first paragraph of the... moreThey mean low-end by its low price. It is the cheapest mobile to have wifi, GPS applications.

Anonymous, 05 May 2008For some stupid reason. Built in gps is not working for me.... moreTry to use GPS in open air, outside! Inside it may not work.
For the first time, wait for about 10 minutes..

This phisically phone looks alike SE. I've already use SE K-750i for almost two years. I realy love SE, but right now I use Samsung i550w. This i550w can be combine from SE shape and Nokia symbian menu, off course I love both of them :-)
I bought 2 new phones, nokia 6500s and samsung i550w. I'm very satisfied with samsung i550w, while my nokia 6500s has a lot of problem with software and hardware.

Samsung i550w use chip from Qualcomm for radio, when Nokia not use it. In my theory, dedicated chip are better than non chip.

Hi everyone,
I bought this phone 2 weeks ago. It is an excellent combination of a Nokia performance and Samsung elegance. I agree to Mr. Muhammed Oli about high-end / mid-end matter. The only "mid-end thing" about this phone is its PRICE :)).
The difference from the N95/N82 is the camera pixel, but Samsung i550w is much elegant and easier to handle & use. Another big plus with this phone is that it charges off the USB, which does not seem to happen in Nokia N8x or N9x series.
In conclusion, I can say that if you want a Wi-fi phone, then this is the only and the definite purchase..

I agree with a lot of the comments made - It is basically a carbon-copy of a SE Design with a carbon copy of a Nokia GUI.
Whats going on Samsung? Have you Mobile phone design team just given up?
I have a nokia N73 [still] and it does me fine - I would even think about upgrading to this [Well,...Only for WiFi ;-)]

I find it surprising that GSMArena's first paragraph of the review suggests this is mid-end. Do you judge a phone by what kind of camera it has? Thats just stupid. This is without a doubt pretty high-end. I mean, it has WiFi, GPS, HSDPA, a 3 mega pixel auto focus cam, A2DP bluetooth and a pretty decent sized screen... Its bordering on the specs of the N95 apart from the camera! And thats high-end to me.
