In the past 3-4 years i have been using samsung fold phones and i am not planning to go back. This is the biggest deal of innovation in the mobile industry of the past two decade.
It comes with a simnificative price, so its hard to accept any compromises.
I believe that phones need no selfie camera, foldables can use their primary camera for that anyway, so the less we sacrifice from screen surface, the better.
If you invest 2000$you need it to be good enough for every need.
Foldables, with their big screen, consume a lot, to counter that , you need a cover screen able to handle daily tasks. So this is were samsung suffers, not on selfie cam, not on small battery, but the width of the cover screen. I cant wait for an alternative with a wider cover screen, but have yet to see a valid one. Honor wasted another opportunity, we pay big bucks and they come with a wider cover screen indeed, but are compromising, water resistance, no OIS on camera, older power hungry CPU, inferior main screen, slower, washed out and with a thick status bar, destined to suffer from burn in eventually. So practically, everything that matters in the long run and they dare asking the same money for this. Pathetic deal, what a shame really. Should they brought the same as samsung , just different format, i would have paid more. But they ask more for less, its insulting!

I keep looking at Honor phones but i can never truely make the jump. I've been with Samsung since Huawei lost their GMS licenses but Honor keeps looking like the suitable replacement since they broke away from Huawei.
I just would like them to have more concrete listing on how long their phones will be supported for.

Seems to be great specs. I would like GSMARENA to add the PWM specs to phones and test them in their reviews.
I am sensitive to PWM at dimly lit places and would love to search and filter by that spec.

Pictures from main camera are poor, pictures from the ultrawide are unusable and picture from tele are even worse... unwatchable!

Seems a hustle t... moreMy last and current phones with very curved screens (pixel 6 pro and Huawei p40 pro) never had scratches or breaks on the screen and they've fallen quite a few times on to hard surfaces, with no problem (no case on either and a lot of falls were on to wood or fallen out of my pocket in a car).
Holding them 1 handed can be a hassle dependant on situation (trying to game with 1 hand as an example) otherwise 2 handed is nicer to hold than flat screen phones and there's no chance of dropping unless you have a dexterity problem or hands are knocked.
They can slide off almost any surface though, that is a serious problem with curved screen, glass backed phones (and objects can slide off them when lay flat on its screen on a flat surface).

I don't like curved edges on screens. Seems a hustle to protect and from my experience is prone to shatter more easily. In addition I seem to clumsy and get a lot of unwanted touches while using the phone.
