Unfortunately Realme is heading the oneplus way with this, this is 2 year old tech. All those compromises ought to keep the price down, yet they failed, thus becoming meaningless and its existence too...

I'm pretty pleased with this tbh. At £399 intro price it's a bargain, especially if priorities are battery life, screen quality and speed. Main camera is excellent and as it's unlikely I will ever use the other cameras, it's ideal. Samsung's poor battery life just doesn't work for me. We all have different priorities of course, but for me this phone is spot on. Only downside is the lack of alert slider but OnePlus seem to be struggling....

You could implement sustained performance very easily on gfx bench as well. Light red for max performance, dark red sustained performance after 20-30min. All in a single line.

This has a better main camera than the likes of the Xiaomi 11t pro which is relatively weak on the main camera so if you are more focused on main cameras then this is probably better. The photos from the Xiaomi 11t pro main camera are kind of rubbish for the price at least in terms of lack of detail and worse than its predecessor the Xiaomi 10t pro. Actually, the Xiaomi 10t pro was better than both of these for all round camera performance. Upper midrange phones or budget flagships or whatever people want to call them really have not improved at all in the last year or two apart from the screens

Ultrawide sensor, macro sensor and selfie sensor are very bad. 550 for this? Nah...Xiaomi 11T Pro or S21 FE and you'll be much better. It's bad that Realme put out a device with such low quality cameras...

Install MiUI on it and battery endurance would drop 20-25h.

550€ may be tough to swallow but for 400€ I paid, I'm happy with the phone, I was considering the Pro but 200€ more for the differences it had, I probably wouldn't notice them in the day to day usage.
Using gcam specially on night photos and selfies, surprised me so much. Dark room with only the light from the screen and the photos came out like I took it with the main camera.
