It's a commendable effort to progress smartphone design. But it creates more problems than it solves in the quest for a bugger screen. In what world would it not make more sense to get a flagship phone and an iPad for the same money?

Buggy, unoptimised software has killed the standby power and overall efficiency of this. I would expect with a properly optimised software, you're looking more like 60hrs, tablet-mode, 120Hz display. And in phone-mode, 60Hz display, closer to 90hrs.

I'm guessing that QSD 888+ chipset is thirsty just like the QC 8g1, and the BOE panel they could source for the AMOLED is not very efficient either.

Frankly, I don't see these getting rectified, so this is DOA. Hopefully, it forces Samsung to copy them and build a very similar competitor.

Better have a slower processor . Better for battery life.

If ever, and I mean ever Huawei manages to solve their chipset problems, The U.S will not be able to stop them again.

Their biggest selling points before the hardware ban were the Kirin chips and very good cameras with custom Sony sensors. The kirin chips in particular distinguished them from other Chinese brands. However now they have lost access to both of these so it's a difficult situation. In China now it's very difficult for them also as almost everybody wants 5g phones so lack of 5g is their biggest problem. Harmony OS is their main selling point now in their homeland but that can't really make up for the lack of 5g. Will be interesting to see if they manage to survive in the smartphone business until they can come up with a solution to the 5g issue

It seems Huawei is out of business due to sanctions. They lost access to most recent technology and it is clearly visible here. With the size of a small tablet and small battery the times were not expected to be excellent, but this is beyond poor.

Seems like a total mess of a ROM they used.

888/888+ both use a ton of battery, but it shouldn’t be THAT bad with a battery of this size.

Think about this, Galaxy Flip 3 has BETTER battery life than this phone with a smaller battery.

This is probably the future of expandable phones, but as of today it's a flawed design. The battery is a problem. There is no excuse with 4g and larger battery. The Fold's battery is not good. I guess it comes down to quality and not quantity.

Disaster Battery life + no gms + 2K€ price tag= failure

better dont use case on this device.
coz if you're using case, then well, you'll think twice before unfolding it as case have to be taken out from one side in order to unfold it.
a lot of work to just unfold then do the job then fold again and put the case back on. who's got that much time.
