The worst phone i ever used. i am continuously using sony erricson phones, but this one is the worst one.it restarts when you make a call. this is the worst thing with a mobile phone. when you make an urgent call and it goes turned off then start to restart.so i feel no one should buy this but i am confident about sony ericsson products.they must take back this series. This is not only my problem but some of my friends facing the same problem with their G502. so be prepare for a restart when you buy this machine

This is been offered with a great package by 3 in the UK. Can somebody tell me about MS Activesync. There is little information on the web how it operates on this OS (there's plenty on how it works with Windows Mobile).

I have a MS exchange hosting for my Outlook 2007. Will this work with G502? If so what are the security settings in terms of certifcates, etc?

                        Thanx in advance

For those who bought this, can you please check the box and user guide if it states HSDPA. Mine states it's UMTS. How come?

I dont get why people are badmouthing this phone. Internet on your phone is not expensive - only £5 a month for unlimited access. Also not everyone wants to spend a lot of money on a phone, or lug around one with a huge screen for that matter. The phone is a good size for using the internet for casual reasons like checking your emails on the go, watching the odd video on youtube, checking the weather, looking up maps when you find yourself lost somewhere, finding a nearby restaurant, proving your mate wrong when he thinks he knows it all, price checking in shops, and the blogging feature of the phone is fantastic and soo quick - all the stuff most people would want it for. Surely more in depth things you can do at home on your pc or laptop? I really cant think of anything I want to do on the go that I couldnt use it for - its a bargain.

the G502 is actually just a K660i with a different exterior design:)) hehe, no differences, well, except for the 2ndary camera....

I've been using my g502 since the eleventh of August. At first my local mobile line provider didnt know how to set its MMS and GPRS and I-Net Configurations. After a week SE added settings for this unit and sent configurations directly to my phone.
Now I can Email, send MMS and do more stuff while travelling the busy Manila roads.
So who needs internet on their phones? I do. Its not expensive like most comments. Yes, you can use your PC to send emails and chat, but on the road, if you expose your laptop in public vehicles, you're doomed to be robbed.
Just sneak out your low-profile phone and surf the net away....
The SE g502 clearly explains what an HSDPA means...

I just bought this handset 3 days ago,
so far it has served its purpose well.
Calls are clear and sms is great using the wavy keypad.
Only bad thing I can think of is the slightly sluggish response from my unit.
Oh and my unit did not come with the weather application installed.
Just a thought to check yours before u buy. I got mine online so i couldn't vet thru the unit.
                                    All in all, nice phone.

                                      Hi all,

For me its a great phone, why?

                                      1. i am looking for phonw with good music player > it got walkman 3.0 inside it and excellent speaker sound.

                                      2. i am looking for a minimum 2mp camera, since above it i wolund use my nikon camera though > the phone got 2 mp camera.

                                      3. the screen is quite big 2'inches, and the resolution is nice too 240x320

                                      4. the menu is user friendly also, unlike other symbian/software phone.. its sooo slow.. and anyway, honestly, do you need all of that programs in your phone??

                                      5. its thin.. about 1,3mm > fine with me.

                                      6. overall, reasonable price compared to other SE or nokia highend phone (which I until now do not understand why they are still costing so musc for their phone)

I just bught one, it is quite good, but no wi fi is a matter. THe syncronization software can be downloaded in sonyericson web. We can use it as a modem, an syncoryze all contacts with outlook, we can send/receive sms from computer.
