Dont buy this phone!
Suck on many ways.
1. When i bought brand new for abut 450$ its comes with a 20 degree of usb-c connector by factory... A++ quality... So i replaced it by garantee so now i use it for abut a year.
2.Dual sim runs only with e-Sim but this is not a problem because i have it, but the phone in dualsim mode dropig calls and having serious connectovity issues. No updeate since then for these well known issues (google support has many threads about this).
3. Since Android 14 you cant scroll properly while the phone on charge.
4. Fingerprint sensor in the display recognize 6/10 of the times, with 4 times registred q finger...
5. The last reason is the Zero, 0 product support by Google. They dont do anything to solve these problems, no update or review your reported issues, nothing.

I ended up getting this phone the other week as a downgrade. I had a Motorola Razr Plus (40 Ultra) and just found I was barely using the power of it for anything. I opted to sell it for extra pocket change and grab a used Pixel 6A for $200 CAD.
From my experience it's wonderful. Powerful enough that if I want to do some light phone gaming I can, enough space for spotify, and very snappy.
In this price range you're only other options are things like the Galaxy A71, and Motorola Moto G, and after playing with both of those I can confidently say that this is FAR superior in every way.
I don't think I'll be upgrading anytime soon, and will just save myself the $30-60 extra on my phone bill every month by not getting a new phone with my contract

Please stay away from this joke of a phone. Some software update disabled the Wi-Fi and I am not able to turn on the Wi-Fi status no matter whatever steps I follow from the Google support team. This is a complete waste of money. Buy and regret forever. Do yourself a favor and look for any other phone. Any phone on the world is better than this piece of junk

I've been using Pixel 6a for almost a year. It's Japan's version. These are some of the issues I've encountered:
1. Sometimes the phone unlocks itself in my pocket without my touching it. Crazy! And then depending on how it interacts with your thigh/pocket, it will open an app on itself like camera etc.
2. If you use it outdoor, it'll heat up pretty quickly because the screen is dialed up to the max brightness 🔆🔆🔆.
3. The camera will be slow to focus if you change from 0.6x to 1.0. Sometimes it fails to focus at all.
4. Many times I've failed to quickly unlock the phone. The indisplay button fails to recognize my touch. This happens when I restart my phone.
5. No date stamp. Have to install another app. But the app is really slow when it comes to stamping dates on the pictures. Even my cheap Redmi 9 has inhouse stamping option for the camera and it's fast and instantenous.
6. Not all video editor (on PC) recognize Pixel's video format.
Having said those, Im happy with my Pixel 6a because my main usage for this phone is taking pictures and videos.
Am looking forward to upgrade to Pixel 8/ Pixel 8 Pro when the price goes down.

i'm disappointed with pixel 6a night video. my pixel 4 is better in taking video at night.

I bought the pixel 6a phone few months ago and I've had problems with it ever since. The reception is crappy lots of crackling and static at times. I really would like my money back. Not worth my two year payment plan. I'll never buy another as soon as I find a phone brand I like this one is gone. Not a happy consumer!

Not recommended, as the Heating issue is standard Featue in this phone (It gets warm even if it is not in use ). Thus a backup of 4Hr is max you can expect, Service center takes 30 days appx to fix your phone. Drains batter even in basic usage without interner

The solution: Turn on battery saver in the morning and the phone will maintain power throughout the day and into the evening. By using this method, I can have at least 75% power by the time I get home from work.

Google Pixel 6a is faster, better and nicer looking than the S21 FE, iPhone 13 Pro Max (in some areas) and many other phones which are more expensive than this one. I know because I've seen all 3, and the Google Pixel 6a DEFINITELY takes all the brownie points. Also, it bears the best GPU for phones at the time of writing this. Overall a huge W that Google took.

I used to have Google pixel 3a, decided to refresh it with Pixel 6a. I literally just returned this phone after 6 days of having it. Battery is non existent (maybe i had faulty model) but once I left home at 9AM with 100% battery and at 2PM I had 22% on battery saver mode, while listening to some music and occassionally scrolling some memes, That's not even 8hours of very LIGHT usage. where my pixel 3a was handling it without any issues. Now im on the hunt for a new phone, still using my pixel 3a. On the bright side I think that OS on Pixel Phones is great.
