walkman8, 24 Aug 2022Even more than Genshin Impact or 4k video recording? didn't compare side by side. but, dex is usually used with charging since it is a workstation(more multitasking used) to be used for 7-8 hours a day. so,it may sustain heat for longer time compared to a game. especially, wireless dex with wireless charging makes it way hotter. even 2017 samsung flagships support dex so,I see no other reason to make an exception to flip series.

When you compare battery .. you also have to compare the size of it,
iPhone mini has a tiny battery .. no wonder after 30 min it is 60% charged.

Portability is the primary one IMO - the form factor is easier to carry around in small pockets or handbags, and I imagine that especially appeals to women

i still dont see the purpose of a flip phone. if any, it actually makes the user experience worse, as we now not only need to pull the phone out of our pocket, we still need to unfold it, before we can use it. In the old days before smartphones, flip devices makes perfect sense as we seldom use the phone other than making calls or texting now and then. But fast fwd today, phour phones are now doing so much more, and as such we keep taking it out for every little thing, from calling a taxi, or checking emails. that flip process is more a hindrance than a benefit, to be honest. And mechanically, it's negatively impacting the device's durability. unless manufacturer's could slim the phone tremendously, i dont see any reason whatsoever, to get a flip phone
