The 27mp output is hard to beat for details in good light but the hmx wasn't great in ultra lowlight and focus is not as strong as on the more recent sensors. If you look at the lowlight photos of the flip 4 versus a similar 50mp sensor like the imx766 in something like a Xiaomi 12 or Realme gt2 pro it seems that it does quite well and is probably stronger in lowlight than both of those for details and noise (also holds up well in lowlight versus the s22 ultra) . You're right though. The photos in the comparison tool for the mi note 10 are very good. It's understandable why it got such a good photo score in dxomark, a score which is better than many subsequent more expensive. It's a shame Xiaomi never followed it up in the upper midrange segment. We can't really judge things like exposure and dynamic range on the photo compare tool though and I think they are likely to have improved with sensors like the imx766 and gn5 and newer ISPs

This phone isn't for me, and it isn't for most wealthy customers.
But what ticks me off the most is the lack of DeX... that's something Samsung removed arbitrarily just so they can differentiate this from the Fold4. As if the form-factor wasn't enough. And remember this phone costs at least A THOUSAND BUCKS.

For the love of god, why couldn't Samsung include Dex?
What excuse do they have when this is a "flagship" as well?
If the FE series can have Dex mode, why can't this?

Flip 3 is Flip 2, but there was not Flip 2 name wise because last year they skipped a number to match the Fold series number wise.
Flip 4 is actually 3rd generation of Flip series.

Quite interesting to see how much Samsung has improved since their first generation Flip, though I still won't get one because of the screen's durability which is basically a problem to all flip and foldable out there.

Not interested in it but that 3:45 hr improvement for browsing and 2 1/2 hr improvement for video playback would be nice to have. The rest is pretty much the same. The Razr 2022 looks more interesting.

Four generations of Z Flip, and yet Samsung still can't put DeX in it. For a phone with a flagship-grade SoC, Samsung should have no problem putting DeX in the Z Flip. The S22 has the same battery capacity as this Z Flip4, and yet it does have DeX.

Even in graphics performance, you can double the performance with less power.
