I still love my 6 Pro,but it didn't get the proper software support.....so I recently switched to a Samsung Galaxy A52S...

Everything scratches eventually no matter what and plastic will ALWAYS scratch easier and more visibly. Do you shatter every single phone? I know I haven't any, but they all got scratched. Glass scratches way harder, it's why we want glass. But hey, have your 1000€ phones with cheap plastic back. The logic of you folks...

Back then you had better improvements of existing phones and differentiated designs. Now we're left with either poor choices or complete rebrands.

Once there was an excellent shooter Realme 8 Pro. It didn't have "plus" in it's name, but it had 1/1.52" sensor, 0.7µm. And now, one and a half year later we have this - 10 Pro Plus with a smaller 1/1.67" sensor, 0.64µm. I see you positively note 10 Pro+ for having higher-res sensor, than in 9 Pro+. But I didn't find any worries of omission of 108 MP and 3x Zoom in a 9 Pro+ review. The truth is, 8 Pro, had almost losslsess 3x zoom, and your review covered that. Even 5x was not bad, and you also mentioned it in your review. And 108 MP mode looked better, at least, before Realme UI 3 update happened. I know theses things for sure - my daughter has 8 Pro. But now, regarding these scenarios, 10 Pro+ isn't really better, than almost two year phone, from same brand and budget. I can't call all this a "progress". And it's a shame, that the review doesn't cover the "real" progress through generations.

by focusing more on screen and pricing, they actually downgraded the camera (missing OIS specially) and software (software means irritating bloatwares) we can not expect these types of downgrade in 25k range phones, i think they just missed the bus, otherwise it would have been the best allrounder phone at this price point.......

I like this phone. Seems nice on paper. My experience with Realme is limited to having owned a Realme 8 and a GT Explorer. The first one was good and while I just loved the design of the GT Explorer, I wasn't thrilled by the software and hardware reliability. Bought it brand new (just as the 8) and immediately the fingerprint reader was more missing than hitting correctly up to a point that I had to abandoned this method and revert to good old lock-screen password method. Even after receiving some software updates and the update to Android 12 it still was not willing to work. Had to send it back for warranty repair. When it came back from repair it barely worked better and the phone was back on Android 11 after which I never received the update to 12 again. It remained as such until I sold it on. In short I have mixed feelings with Realme which is kind of strange as it is in fact very similar as the Oppo's and One Plus'es devices I have owned where I never encountered any issues what so ever. Realme being a brand of the same company as the two others...
Anyway, if the price is right and it's available in Europe I will certainly think about purchasing it.

aknsreddy, 10 Dec 20229 pro+ camera was soo good, but this phone went backwards exactly that's the first thing everyone notices. In fact they decided with 9 Pro+ to make a phone with great camera to even compete with gcam but apparenty they took it back cause it was looking too good but not profitable for their other smartphones especially the more expensive ones. No one will care to buy their new or more expensive models if the cheap 9 Pro+ already does the job perfectly fine.
It is what Xiaomi also does by slowly making their camera software worse every year on their cheaper smartphones in order to hold something for their more expensive models.

no, it's not a great deal at all.
25,000 Rs is the price for 6Gb version of 10 Pro+

there is a reason why Realme still didn't discount 9 Pro+
in fact, 9 Pro+ is 1000 Rs more expensive than 10 Pro+ (8 Gb RAM)

if one wants 8Gb RAM and is willing to pay ~26,000-27,000 Rs., there are better options to spend these money, especially if one can add 3,000-5,000 Rs more.

I really like this phone and how it masters the necessities like charging and especially battery life, performance and the unique software, but that cheap looking bright glossy back is putting me off.

Anonymous, 09 Dec 2022Extreme battery life, but without sd card and 3.5 jack = no buy I agree about the fact that lacking a micro sd slot is indeed a problem. I have a 512gb micro sd card, and I use it always when i buy a new phone. I have all my files in it. But the lack of 3,5 mm audio jack, is not a problem at all. Wired headphones work just fine with the adaptor provided inside the package.
