Shiny Dave, 20 Apr 2023Oh man as soon as I saw the first Tensor used two Cortex-A7... moreYeah it is very undwhelming because on benchmarks its doing something to get the position tensor1 gets, my huawei p40 pro with the same a76 cores (no X cores) was slightly quicker (even with a 90hz display) so the 1st tensor chip is a 855+/865 and it focuses way too much on usint "A.I" to improve performance overtime and it never did.

Was so excited for the 6 pro and from day 1 it was just a hassle. Funny thing is i have a find x5 with the SD 888 (samsung fabbed) and its a better chip in everyway so i dont get whats going on with their own core architecture for such poor efficiency. I have no hope for tensor chips until they use current core set ups and i hope samsung sort exynos out with the amd gpu cores.

Tsmc are ahead of samsung with their fabrication, samsung has worse yields, can get similar cpu performance but way more heat and less efficiency

At least the 7 now swapped those out for the A78 cores. But the TSMC fabs seem to be so far ahead on efficiency right now, and the last Snapdragon gen proved it.

          Hello GSMArena team!
I'm pretty amazed to see how did review this Asus ROG 7's camera?
What's your basis to review any device?
You've given 4.6,7,8 star out of five to many devices while these don't have that camera capability.
For another example Honor Magic5 Pro does have everything that is needed for flagship phone but you have missed that proper rating for this handset.
Another example in Samsung matter is so weird you've received this device 'S23 ultra' with excess points whereas this does not have this even after having good hardware.
These all points are pretty weird to me.
Sometime you favor a device despite lacking necessarily criteria
and another time you ditch down another one for no known reason.
We've a lot of faith in you. We decide our purchasing after your full deep reviews. So please keep our faith.
          Rest is fine.
          Michael

Man they run hot even when doing nothing (my 6 pro was always warm, always had the x core running near max and would overheat everytime it recorded 4k video). Battery wasnt great either, i think only using youtube was decent and running emulators.

Its a shame because i was excited when i heard the 2200 had AMD graphics cores, hopefully they sort their fab out and get better yields with more efficiency with the 2300 (or 2400 whatever they call it) and we see the full potential from AMD cores (RDNA 3?)

Rog 7 back panel is ugly af. Why 2 tone finish ? The previous one was miles better. They could've gone with either matte or glossy translucent all over, but both together look so bad. Ew Asus why u do that

With SD 8 Gen 2 it's clear that best performance and great battery life can be had in one device. Unlike Samsung where exynos chipsets have average battery life, even with low end performance, example E1380
