Xperia should stop making midrange. Remind me back in the days when Sony still have a bunch low mid end such as Xperia Miro, Tipo. Pretty mediocre.
Price doesn't justified and not competitive enough especially on the saturated mid end market and most of other manufacturer have better offering. The only positive aspect for me is just the unobtrusive display with hole or notch, audio jack, microSD slot and the rest is quite meh.
Heck, even the Sony camera button signature isn't there, this is like OnePlus without alert slider or iPhone without mute switch.

Review after review gsmarena keeps calling close-up shots as macro when it has nothing about macro.. Why doing this?

Honestly, if someone is interested on the long battery life, grab a Xperia 10 IV instead. Will be cheaper. This "refresh" brought almost nothing new. The sensor that got changed is pretty old, so it seems they are mostly moving old stock with this device. Nvm that they kept the same dissappointing SoC.

Pixel and iPhone are selling like crazy with only 60Hz display. I think it's safe to say majority of users don't care about the refresh rate. 95% of my friends and family don't even know they have HRR. Only tech nerds like us care about it.

The battery life is so good .. but other than that, it doesn't justified the price.

A good phone butchered (for my use case) by the SoC. give us at least a two year old 778G come on. plus, the USB-C 3.x the III had is nowhere to be seen, I guess the 10 series won't ever have it again
