Poco F5 goes for the same amount in Nigeria... SD 7+Gen2. UFS 3.1, Dolby Vision, GG5... A bit less impressive camera but overconpensates with that monster of a chipset... 900k Antutu score. If you're not so fixated on camera, it's a good alternative.

The display of Tecno Camon 20 Pro 5g looks dull and washed out in all reviews unlike those punchy and colorful displays in other amoled phones. How's the display in reality? And is there any heating issue on normal usage? How much SOT we can expect on normal usage without any gaming?

Don't compare Tecno with Samsung. Tecno doesn't have brand value, does not have popularity, does not have data security like Samsung, and does not have pro grade camera like Samsung. You can easily use your Samsung Galaxy at least 4 years without any problem, but on the other hand you need to buy 4 times a Tecno phone for that time. Even your friends will laugh at you for the reason of tecno brand.

Why people are comparing this to A54? As I'd always said, Samsung has really good phones but not really good target pricepoint. If Samsung would release a smartphone with Mali-G77 MC9 GPU, sensor-shift OIS, 108MP UWA (with AF), 8/512GB base variant it would cost around 600USD minimum. Samsung still having a54 at same pricepoint with this phone is the main problem here.

Tecno made a great job on this phone 87/100,they can try adding trends like HDR10+, 1 billion colour's at least

A few people that I know have it and they aren't impressed
They are complaining about the general speed and about apps crashing here and there
It's not terribly slow or unusable, but for that price in this day and age performance shouldn't be a concern at all

I have to actually admire Tecno for making some unusual looking phones that set them apart from the same boring designs Samsung and a whole load of other manufacturers are doing.
