a) My N95 8G does not lock up any more than my other phones (K800i etc), and is not perfect, but it's pretty good. b) I am a big fan of SE, but I do believe that people prefer an all in one device if the features are well implemented. Why carry a handycam when you can use your phone? I also worry that this missing feature will lose them sales. The popularity of the LG Viewty and Secret are evident people DO value video. In fact, I believe it will be MORE important than STILL shots due to the popularity of YouTube - and other video sites of which many (including YouTube) are in the process of displaying higher resolution video. It is EASIER to capture high quality videon using a mobile phone than a still image because still images ALWAYS require a large lens, video is way lower resolution.

Nee, 18 Jun 2008sounds good but its not a competitor to N95 , also this pho... morethis and the N96 are in totally different categories... this is a CAMERA phone, the N96 is more of a SMART phone. big difference. this would be like comparing the xperia x1 smart phone to a w980 music phone.

Seeing all this moronic complaints about the video recording is just ridiculous. If you need a good video recording, get a handycam instead!
This is GSM Arena: we're talking about cell phones!
I have N95 8GB that sometimes freezes up (duh!) when I'm recording the so-called 'VGA-30 fps' that I'm still keeping my handycam!
Speaking of 8GB N95, how stupid it is to limit the voice recording to an hour while having a huge memory?! It's just pointless!
Rock On, SE!!

Lack of VGA (640 x 480) video is a massive no no - and evidence Sony Ericsson are afraid of upsetting Sony who make cameras that can shoot VGA video. And so they will continue to suffer against Nokia, LG and maybe Samsung. It is no good providing WiFi, GPS and more if the phone itself lacks a sophisticated OS to take advantage of such functionality. If this is all SE can come up with over a year after the N95 and LG Viewty, (and iPhone), then I hate to say it, all this enthusiasm is unjustified. I want my phone to do it all well and the lack of VGA video just ruined the party. Keeping my N95 8G Black. SE, wake up!

SE camera r only good for Picture , the videos r so terrible and ridiculous unlike Nokia N series , should have been in Symbian.
java is not that rich and might well be the 8mpx will be useless with Sony's Standard java freak , any way cant mention as da best camera mobile in the market infact noway in video recoding ,i bet u N96 is just gonna slash this out of market , me gonna buy N82 best cam so in the market .
