Like gsmarena mentions, this phone is already obsolete from the 14pro max, until it is discontinued.
Also,the fact that it is way more expensive than android flagships like S23Ultra doesnt help either.
Last but not least, i expected it to have better battery life compared to 14pro max(bigger battery,only 60hz screen,lower max brightness),yet it didnt, and the loudspeakers this year are worse......
All in all, too expensive(even for iphone standards)for what it offers.

If it's Oppo, Huawei, Xiaomi, Samsung or Vivo, it doesn't matter as I don't take who has done it into the consideration.
It's not my fault that your favorite brand's implementation of a Quad Bayer sensor is significantly worse than Honor View 20 from 2018. Keep hoping though, someday they will get where the other manufacturers are right now👍

Anonymous, 02 Oct 2023I think for 16 series, not necessary to write two reviews ... moreThe performance could be different due to the difference in heat dissipation, speaker quality/volume due to the possibility of two phones using differently sized speakers, display quality, charging time, etc. So yes you will need a separate review for each of the iPhone 16 and 16 Plus.

It's interesting that the night mode on the new iPhones doesn't even improve the image quality as a whole simply because it's 12MP whereas the auto mode shoots at 24MP - When activated, the level of detail goes down drastically as it loses half of its resolution, and Apple's extremely aggressive processing also makes a comeback to smudge a lot of finer details.
This whole "Combining binned 12MP images to 48MP full resolution images to get 24MP shots" stuff is definitely a move other manufacturers should follow - I was initially concerned about potentially higher noise level, but the benefit of increased resolution clearly overweighs it and there doesn't seem to be a significant drawback to this approach even in dimly lit environment. I'm happy to see Apple fully utilising the extra resolution gained from the new 48MP Quad Bayer sensor (Compared to the old 12MP ones).

Only 60hz display in 2023 in such expensive Phone😅
48MP Camera Sensor not same as the sensor used in Pro/Max Models so we can assume it's an inferior sensor for cost cutting.
Battery backup is lesser compared to it's competition.
Aluminium frame used compared to titanium frame used for pro models.

By the way, report from early 2023 was that sales of 14+ were almost 60% better than 13 mini during same period.

I think for 16 series, not necessary to write two reviews for 16/16+.
Only difference is going to be battery endurance basically.
One review for both is enough.
