I don't understand why it's important whether the cell phone charges quickly or not. I need my phone to communicate during the day, at night it charges and when I wake up I'm ready for another day... LOL

All these companies who refuse to supply an ultrawide of decent resolution, and a really good sweep panorama mode that works with that ultrawide as well as it does the standard wide-angle lens , should be ignored, basically!
Whilst there is huge emphasis on fitting huge periscope tele lenses into phones, the other end of the scale which is a lot more creatively useful, as well as giving us decent interior shots, appears to be forgotten by everyone.
We needs must go back in time to search out large enough 20MP sensors working with a 15mm-18mm lens. Why?
Who these days buys an 8MP ultrawide lens? when you need over 30MP really to match the resolution of the main camera lens at an equal distance?
And here I'm not even mentioning the faked resolution figures that accompany ads, specifications (even here without explanatory notes!) in phones with Quad Bayer sensors, or Nono-Bayer like a Samsung, but ordinary old-fashioned sensors like that in the old Samsungs Nokias and LGs.
What can you get from an 8MP Ultrawide? Realme? Etc

Pros- Realme UI is highly customisable
Cons- Apart from customisations,it's literally trash, full of Ads,personalised suggestions everywhere(among these there are a lot of shady apps & apps with inappropriate content),unnecessary bloatware that can't be uninstalled.
Realme UI has become so bad that even like of MIUI are better than this crap.
Im talking about Southeast Asian version of Realme UI.
On top of that confusing naming scheme, launching same phone under diffterent names/slight different specs.
Pricing is never consistent, today it might be $400 for device but next day same phone couldbe found for $200. All brands offers discounts or freebies so slight fluctuation in prices is expected but Realme's case is literally extreme of it.

MarOMG, 08 Nov 2023So, basically the same phone as GT3 (the same screen, batte... moreIf it didn't have better efficiency, it'd drain the entire battery in 10 minutes!
So with better power efficiency they can squeeze out more POWAH!!!! out of the chip so they can write crappier software that requires more POWAH!!!! to run properly without slowing down to a crawl.
Battery life doesn't improve because you're not getting more performance at lower power consumption. You can have better performance OR better power efficiency, but not both. And since it's easier to sell "MOAR POWAH!!!" than "10% longer battery life", companies go for "more performance". And to have similar battery life, they have no other choice than to put in a larger battery. Plus, a larger size of the screen (to cover the notch and the buttons) requires backlight, which also takes a ton of power.
So there you have it: your "power efficiency" goes into the screen (the section you don't look at, called "the area where buttons used to be"), into faster chips (required because of crappy software), faster screen refresh (one of the best upgrades in the last few years, IMHO) and background services that are always watching, listening, recording and sending data all over the world. This also requires a lot of power to be "unnoticeable" to the user.

So, basically the same phone as GT3 (the same screen, battery and cameras), but with better and more "efficiant" chip. Where is that "efficiant" part? Every new chip has more power and less energy consumption. They say. Where is it then?

I know why this doesn't come out of China, maybe Realme knows other countries aren't ready for this super fast charging. Most have 120W. The GT3 240W is said to have a global release but I almost didn't see it.

IpsDisplay, 08 Nov 2023Put the fast chipset in all of them The "fast" chip? They're ALL fast and efficient. This isn't exactly like Exynos vs Snapdragon. Each A-series iteration is fast and efficient.
