Still confused on a lot of reviews on this site, still not quite 5/5 which this team can definitely achieve.
A. Why is every phone ever reviewed always compared to samsung devices 1st? Redmi note 12 pro 5g which is priced about £200 and close to the a24 (with the others being around £130-230) beats it in basically every area you could beat a phone, (bar some battery endurance, EVERYTHING else is an easy win for xiaomi) yet always 2nd or 3rd recommended phones (its always samsung 1st then apple and pixels after that if they can, really?)
B. On some of the battery tests or screen tests etc they end up using very specific samsung devices to either make samsung look better or against a phone half the price of this one, but because its so cheap (galaxy A05s for example) that you cant really compare them both. If the test doesnt show good results compared to the reviewed phone/that price range then that phone wont be included (again, happens all the time with the a34 and a54, some tests if its good showing will be at or near the top, a test which it sucks at so cpu performance or screen brightness as examples it'll hide them and put a far lower class samsung phone so if it does decent will look better for Samsung), this is within the same review and thats biased on all levels and shouldnt be happening on a professional site of this quality and staff that are clearly talented people.
Ive noticed better quality reviews and they do try to explain more a "real usage" review and how the devices generally performs, i just wish they put the love and attention in to all other brands than they do with samsung now, even this site has become basically a samsung basied review site with tech info fot other phones (which again, for other brands features ARE missed, i had it with my mate 10 pro AND huawei p40 pro AND my find x5 on this site yet samsung and apple will get even unofficial specs and have their absolute nonsense names for their screens or other tech (or even the HDR stuff for their galleries) when other companies have the same yet not mentioned (does this site even have my find x5 having 360°c nfc or notification hiding when you arent looking at the screen while using the phone or its built in HDR features for the gallery?) thats biased marketing and product pushing.

CongeeEnjoyer, 23 Jan 2024so any info on this brands software support policy? For their budget models like this Hot 40 Pro, Infinix MIGHT give 1 OS update. Infinix and Tecno never give details on software update policy, so getting 1 OS update is considered very lucky for Infinix and Tecno users.

Poco best , 22 Jan 2024M6 pro is far beter you get 4 years of software updates. Di... moreUnfair comparison. Let's put in a car perspective: Infinix is a popular car and Poco is a sedan. It's obvious that one has much more to offer than the other.
Even I would pick Poco in this comparison and the main reason is 12GB RAM + 512GB internal storage + microSD, a trio of specs that was common in flagships like Galaxy S10 series, but is very rare nowadays, even more in midrange phones

Other than that, both phones are great and targeted to all kinds of budgets.

Amazing price. Infinix asking only $133 for the 8GB. I don't like the price inflation on the latest Poco phones but I want an upgrade from my X3 Pro which is very similar to this Hot 40 Pro.

mann, 23 Jan 2024that one has so much ads, not worth at all If you think Infinix has better security than Redmi, you are just naive. Ads can be disabled, but Infinix preinstalled malware cant be disabled. Read about Transsion malware if you want to know more.

2) Redmi better design with thin bezels vs Infinix copy iphone design with comically big rear camera cutouts,
3) Amoled display vs LCD,
4) Redmi at least 2 OS updates vs Infinix maybe 1 OS update.
The Redmi is more expensive because it offers more than the Infinix.
