Pumpino, 29 Jan 2024We can no longer suggest that Xiaomi doesn't know how ... moreIt's a joke how bad it it, the S23 with a better chip and jus 3900mAh outperforms this thing.

You would almost think Xiaomi finds it cheaper slap a bigger battery in their phones, instead of optimising, because they sell anyhow.

It's ridiculous

We can no longer suggest that Xiaomi doesn't know how to optimise its phones with MediaTek chips. Clearly, it doesn't know how to optimise phones with efficient Qualcomm chips, either. Less than 9.5 hours of browsing might be acceptable for a phone with a 4,500mAh battery, but not with a 5,100mAh battery. Combine that with the high prices, and the Redmi series is no longer a cheap option with excellent battery life, which was its main appeal. Bring on the reviews of the Realme 12 series.

Aierlan, 29 Jan 2024What are you talking about? There are plenty of midrangers ... moreI'll gladly take correction show me some please

Wiait a minute it's no 4.0 rating again ahh so there really is a speed limit

Fixed ratings for midrangers no matter what

But my opinion stands, also dear Xiaomi stop with releasing zillion phones with essentially the same name.

But Xiaomi wants to play the big guys game, I won't justify the absurd high Samsung midrange prices, but on Samsung you at least get optimised software and longer support.

Kinda sad Xiaomi goes that route, Redmi phones were solid but I remember Poco phones being way cheaper than this, 449 euro for a Redmi is laughable.

Another unoptimised Xiaomi phone (with this size the battery life should be better)

It's like Xiaomi doesn't care lately.

Phone looks fine, but when I saw it starts at 449 euro in my country, I started to laugh.

This review is much better review 👍
                Reviews is GSMArena strength.
I am following reviews from the days of Sony Ericsson c902.
My request you guys always do review with your old team .

I didn't think it was possible a midranger surpassed the 4.0 barrier to get a 4.1 rating

                    Progress is being made people

Sure ,this phone seems great but what I'm more concerned with is how does it hold up in the long run . Things like :
Do the cameras reduce in quality after some years

How long does it take before it starts to lag etc etc

It would be nice if gsmarena could do things like this and I'm not talking about their long term review that only occurs after a 6 month use with the phone

Rain, 29 Jan 2024GSMArena please explain us why this phone (and every other)... moreBecause this one is the device those in India that want but cannot afford iphones will be buying.
                        Not OP12.

Guess where most access here comes from.

So why did Xiaomi go with Omnivision on the POCO X6 for the international version while the international version of Redmi Note 13 Pro 5G is identical in LTE bands other than camera?

Regarding night time photos, the Note 13 Pro tends to select higher ISO and hence faster shutter speeds while the POCO X6 selects lower ISO and has to keep the shutter open for a longer time leading to hand shake effects despite the presence of OIS.

Also, why the Note 13 Pro+ reviewed by GSMArena team in India had poor camera performance despite having a better processor and same Samsung sensor?

Another redmi phone having lesser bezels than the more expensive xiaomi 13t series . They just had to make the bezels on the xiaomi 13t series huge

I find the selfies to be very impressive and natural. I don't know how come GSMarena call them unimpressive ?

The Redmi Note 13 Pro is such a cool phone, idk what sort of sorcery Xiaomi did to nerf its battery but apart from that I don't think for the price you can complain much with this phone. A banger release indeed.

"Still, the 4x zoom shots are much better than the ones coming from the Poco X6."
I don't really agree. The X6 is much better in the image of the clock in the area around the clock even though the Note 13 Pro offers 1.6 times as many pixels per angle. Though, the 13 Pro looks better when it comes to low frequency detail.
Many manufacturers have huge demosaicing issues with Quad Bayer and Tetra²pixel sensors.

GSMArena please explain us why this phone (and every other) have much more extensive camera test (many daylight, night, zoom photos, selfie and potrait photos, and so on) than OnePlus 12 (which have one of the better hardware and photographic possibilities.
