Xiaomi Redmi Note 13 5G review

It seems that redmi note 10 pro were last their best efforts, problem occur on 11 series and afterwards. They were all out on the redmi note 10 pro that makes Xiaomi doesn't have any idea on how to make it's successor.

    Get the ITEL P55 5G if you're fine with LCD 720P display with 90hz refresh rate. It has the same chipset, supports dual sim and memory card (not hybrid), and most importantly, it's cheaper. I got it today for my niece. LOL

      It sure seems like an average phone after all. Not really worth the extra money from A15 5G.

        If it is a optical one (as found in most phones these days), it is not good enough imo. I'd rather take a side mounted fingerprint sensor instead.

        Optical sensors are smaller than ultrasonic ones and thus it is hard to use them. I wish other phone manufacturers used ultrasonic sensors (and hardware proximity sensors too!)

          This is basically the thing that Apple makes to their design approach: they would patiently release a couple of models, each and every one of them to be well design and thoroughly thought of. Hard to imagine, say, two or more iPhone SE models released once at a time together, or their Pro's. And they deserve much recognition for that.

          That's the thing i would also think to myself: why, say, not release a phone in every segment, but well designed one: basic, midrange, top. Because two basic phones, one with 5g and another without - is nonsense, actaully. Especially if g99 and d6080 are basically the same thing, with only difference is enabled 5g modem.

              Gsmarena, those dark cases are cheaper to make because you can just paint recycled pellets with dark color and be done with it, whereas you have to use pure pellets to create a transparent case.

I've had a phones with a side-mounted fingerprint scanner and I had to try at least three times until it finally worked. Plus, many times when I put the phone in my pocket, my thumb would rub the side-mounted fingerprint scanner and it would get unlocked in my pocket, opening random apps and dialing random numbers, I kidd you not. So it's not even a question which one's better

It can cannobolize sales from some of their more expensive models and also it makes it difficult to market future models if the previous model has everything. Nearly all these Redmi and Poco phones are ODM anyway so it's very easy to release them quickly. Everything is outsourced to ODM companies, from design of the phone to manufacture so the cost will be lowered. Basically, Xiaomi just has to look after the software as the hardware is taken care of by big ODM companies. It's also easier to market and sell new models as people generally think new models are better (even if they aren't)

                            The best mid-range lineup of Xiaomi is the Poco phones. The Redmis, to me, are seemingly just prototypes of what the upcoming great Poco devices are going to be at a later time.

It's as if they jumbled each great component across a variety of similar-looking models instead of joining them altogether into one mega supreme device to rule the mid-range segment.

                                Awesome job, Xiaomi, dropping from ~4.x stars on Redmi Note series to 3.6, "cheaper phones are getting better" my a$$.

                                  Redmi Note 13 Pro 5G also uses tcs3701 proximity sensor but you call it a virtual proximity sensor while Redmi Note 13 5G calls it a real sensor. Lol gsmarena 🤡

                                    Average phone, just look for something else.. this is the good thing about Xiaomi, they release a lot of different phones with different SoCs, screen, camera and so on.

                                        Unfortunately, Xiaomi is using UFS 2.2 chips, which are on the slower side.
                                        What?? Poco X6, redmi note 13 pro 5G, poco M6 pro using the same UFS 2.2!
                                        What do you mean by slow?
                                        If the phone use emmc, it is slow then!
