The Redmi Note 13 Pro+ has a non-functional proximity sensor during calls, leading to accidental touches, call holds, call mutes, call switches, and emergency calls being dialed in the pocket. Although the phone is great, the lack of a physical proximity sensor makes it quite frustrating.

So... I need that "Type-C USB 3.0/3.1+" in modern smartphones, but alas, Xiaomi has yet to grace us with such a thing. For the meantime, I'd rather not buy a smartphone if such features are always locked in the USB 2.0 category.
It has been years since it was implemented, but no one is adapting this Usb 3.0 as a default feature... Which is disappointing.

I don't suggest you to buy this phone simply using Facebook or watching netflix, it gets heat up not only back panel display from top to body.

The Xiaomi Redmi Note 13 Pro+ 5G uses a hardware-based ultrasonic proximity sensor, rather than a virtual one, which is great

This phone gets stuck while doing multiple task (e.g; playing games + chatting + video call and other uses). Sometimes this phone gets off (screen lock) by itsself. Also this phone battery performance is bad.

HDD, 20 Jul 2024To people who tried it, does it have proximity sensor problem?I have a a 13pro+ for two months by now, and its proximity sensor is a disaster, (does not have a real, but a virtual proximity sensor (elliptic) )
I really regret buying this phone.

Regarding the 4x zoom image quality:
"The photos look cropped and upscaled from the 2x ones"
No, they don't look like that. But the 4x zoom image quality is bad due to the Tetra²pixel array, the demosaicing doesn't seem to be very good.

After 1 month of use the only problem is optimisation. It has the capability to run almost any mobile game at full graphics. Would recommend for mid range for a period of 3-4 years of use.
