I don't recommend Xiaomi phones due to bad software. I bought Poco and it's miles behind compared to Samsung in terms of software quality

French user here.
Since the HyperOS update (almost 2 months ago) no more SMS or gmail notification sound. Reset reset the phone does nothing.
This is a known problem, many users report this problem but Xiaomi doesn't care...
It's a 1000€ smartphone they can't even fix a notification bug after 2 months
Xiaomi will remain low cost, their software is trash

Usually Xiaomi UK is similar, you might get a discount or a free gift but usually don't get such a big discount with 2 free gifts. The deal was only on for a short time or limited to a certain amount of units, as it went back up in price pretty quickly.
I was also thinking of trying the Nubia Z60. It's a bit expensive directly from their UK store but when I saw this Xiaomi deal it was a no brainer.

~150 days of usage and author calls it long term? What is this? Is it propaganda for planned obsolescence?
Long term is +15 years.
Human, where are you?
Human, where your attentition span went?

JimZE, 21 Feb 2024This is a well-timed long term review as Xiaomi UK recently... moreThat sounds like a steal. In continental Europe we never have such deals from any manufacturer, only these -20/50EUR b****t. That will never make anyone decide on a product over another - and knowing how much margin they have on sales, it's just a nonsense not using this channel of marketing. for 600EUR it would have been an instant buy for me instead of still waiting for POCO F6 pro and deciding between it / NubiaZ60 / X6 Pro - even if 13Tp is in the next price bracket.

Improper update speeds are acceptable here but Xiaomi's got an availability problem, this phone's price varies drastically based on region and costed 100 dollars less than the 13 Pro where I live for like 6 months before dropping 200 dollars below it. Still a bad deal here but over in Europe it's better ig.

Eric20, 21 Feb 2024I agree. A single data point doesn't prove much. Also,... moreConsumer will always be the long term reviewer, but human are so good in adapting and improvising, some weaknesses on smartphone are then to be ignore or subdue, unless it dies out of a sudden like Poco X3 Pro or dig even older news, exploding Galaxy Note on a plane. Back to square one, these reviews are only to make us feel better about our purchase, I'd like to call them the extra wrapper of your phone's box.

Aierlan, 22 Feb 2024Solid phone but in Europe it's probably not worth the ... moreFor 899 euro you have a 13pro. The gomibo group owns half the online sales of smartphones in the Netherlands. It has expanded in 15 European countries ( Germany, Italy,Spain,Belgium, France... gomibo.de gomibo.fr) In holland it's website is Belsimpel.nl 599 euro (vat inclusive) and free delivery in Europe, that's the fixed price for that 512gb/12gb version. In Germany it's 584 euro, because of lower tax, in France 606 euro. Without VAT 479 euro. In mine country Amazon isn't in the top 5 of cheapest shops, it's 108% of 599 euro.
I can pay almost 900 euro if I go to mediamarkt I see.

Solid phone but in Europe it's probably not worth the official retail price of €800 for 12gb 256 or €900 for 12gb 512gb. The official pricing is getting close to flagship territory. It's often available on deals with big discounts though from Amazon and if you get it on a good deal it's well worth considering. This is one instance when the global model has a lot better cameras than the Chinese version (K60 ultra).

This is a well-timed long term review as Xiaomi UK recently had an offer for the 12GB/512GB version at £509, with free Redmi Pad SE AND Xiaomi Watch 2 Pro LTE worth over £400. Absolutely insane deal. I purchased one and received the phone bundle yesterday and I agree with this review that it certainly is a flagship killer. Amazing performance, good screen and camera and super fast charging. Brilliant. The offer ended quickly but here's hoping they run it again so more people can purchase it!

The 13T Pro is an expensive phone. Even the 13T is expensive. The next step down might be the Poco F5, but it's a big step down, given its camera performance. I'm glad that we're seeing improved cameras on the Redmi series phones, as some of us want decent overall phones rather than phones that have either a top of the line chip or camera.
